As others have mentioned, the durability of the towers is fresh take on the TD genre, unfortunately I could not tell which tower needed repairs and once you realize you just need several resource tower and repair them and the attack towers constantly the game was too easy and got boring.
Really like the different resources and durability aspect but need to find a good way to balance the micro management and entertainment - maybe units that run around and repair, upgraded towers do new things, new enemies.
To be clear I am not expected all the above in a jam thinking future, I completely understand the time constraints - always my main problem and your game is pretty good for a jam - thanks for submitting.
Thanks alot for playing, many ideas were discarded due to time constraints one of them was a "village system" where you employed the citizens to build repair and harvest materials, but we couldnt figure out a way to make it work in such short time.
Always appreciate more complex feedback like yours that let us know what specifically didn't stick well with you.
I liked the added resource management. To take it a step further, it would be nice to see durability of buildings without using a menu so I could easily tell what needs repairs. Some building had animations which helped but I'd like to know before they are fully spent.
That was our idea at first but as we developed the tower menu further we couldnt find a pleasing way to let the player know that, but thank you for letting us know !
Interesting idea going the tower defense route. Not sure if I missed something, but after placing my towers and not having enough money for more, I just had to wait for a few minutes for it to become night. A "start round" type button would be nice.
Also the text showing how much an item costs was very small, perhaps it was left on the default 1px font in godot?
With not much experience in these kind of games, at the end of development we found ourselves trying to play around with 2 timing systems.
If we ever consider doing a proper fully fledged TD we would spend a considerable amount of time figuring out how to make that function work.
Cool game, the audio gets a little obnoxious at times, and a fast forward option would be nice, but overall a good experience!
If you mean the repetitive audio, we know, if you had any other problems or bugs with audio please reach out to us.
Hey, seems like you might have wrong resolution in the settings, as only part of the screen seems to show up on browser. But hey the downloadable version worked fine!
Anyway so that was quite interesting feature se on a TD game, I really like the resource gathering aspect, in fact I've had something similar in works on a TD game of my own. I also like the background ambience and the graphics in general. The durability feature made the game bit more challenging than I expected.
