neat score-chaser with an interesting movement mechanic and unapologetically raw visuals. to be honest, I thought the solid monochrome prototype dash vfx you shared on the GWJ Discord looked cooler, but I guess it was a bit too epileptic.

I wish the sword would also work when not dashing, as I often fly into enemies with leftover momentum, though this might just be a skill issue.

it would be nice if the red grid wall was visible a bit earlier, so I could react to it sooner.

overall a tight and challenging game with an interesting gimmick, without any unnecessary fluff — it’s just my cup of tea!

man, this one was super fun when i could get it going, but it was so hard to do it. the fast pace is kind of a blessing and a curse. there were a lot of times where I wanted slightly finer control over my character's speed in order to attack a nearby enemy. then again, the high speed lets you soar up in the air and attack enemies as well.

I spent way too long waiting for orbs to float around into the right position so I could finally get a chance to swing at them

one of the most original mechanics i've seen this jam, and it really is nicely implemented overall.  awesome work! congrats on this submission

The best game on this jam that I totally suck at :D Will give it another spin later, but it is solid. When the organ music hits... love it.

Simply a great game

This is good stuff - the combat mechanics are tough, but also extremely satisfying when you finally get the hang of them.  Comboing enemies is extremely fun!!!

Gameplay-wise, this is, like, Devil Daggers levels of quality in combat design.

One suggestion: I think it would be good if there was a couple of frames of some sort of 'grace period' after the dash has ended, during the transition from dash to neutral state, when you are still invulnerable and can kill enemies, so you wouldn't have to be as precise in managing your dash meter as you currently need to be.

Overall, great job!

awesome fight mechanic, no tutorial on the controls so a bit tough to get going, but when mastered i think it would be really awesome!
