I really enjoyed the mechanics of this game, the controls felt good and I appreciated the slow-down when aiming the leap. Level design and progression of puzzles was solid! I could have used some music but otherwise really fun game!

the mekanics are so unique very good game and the art was amazing

Really cool game! Loved the art work, and the ambient sounds were fitting. Great job!

Really enjoyed the tricuspid valve animation. I liked the concept but was thrown off at the part where I had to turn around until I eventually decided that had to be what I was supposed to do. When I got to the level that introduced the lasers I was almost done but then got stuck inside the red lock and the game froze. Jumping through that section was also a bit frustrating as it was easy to run off a ledge instead of jumping off of it. Some coyote time is probably all that would be needed to fix that.

Neat idea, though, especially with the unique visual style!

Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback. I'm aware the feeling is thrown off a bit by the jumping (particularly the red and blue enzymes) but unfortunately time ran out! I'm seeing this as a common comment though so will certainly prioritise it next time!

Cool concept! Loved the aesthetic and feel of the game. A bit of criticism: I found it a bit to punishing at times and would've liked for the backtracking to be mitigated somehow.  Good job on the game though!

I played only the first three level, I was enjoying it and I was curious to see where the game was going but...
on level three even thou I understand I had to leap instead of walk to reach the red thingy before the falling rock I didn't manage to reach it. It was too punitive, you have to make like a dozen of leap with two jumps to perform correctly. A single tiny error costs you trying again 10 seconds of boring leaping. Good mechanics, bad implemented for a person who is playing it for the first time.
Moreover after like 30 tries (Yes, I was convinced to do go on) the game started lagging. Maybe you haven't free correctly some nodes.
I'm sorry, the game looked promising but I haven't a good experience

Hi! Thanks so much for playing. I think there has been an error in the game communication here! On level 3 that red enzyme is simply there to illustrate that the rolling white blood cells will kill you if you touch it. As far as I'm aware it would be impossible to reach that red enzyme before it dies! Thanks so much for the feedback and I hope you give it another go with this information!

Oh well, I feel a little bit stupid now, ahahahah. Too focused on reaching that thing and I didn't realize there wasn't a red door, lol!
In that case I will give it another try

Developer

It's great feedback though! I always try to make games with the logic of 'if a jump is impossible make it look impossible' but I never considered you could almost get to the red enzyme! I guess if you leap the whole way there then time will be slowed and you almost make it.

Hey there, I was briefly confused on that level but you don't have to capture the red parasite. You just need to avoid the boulder(white blood cell?)  and continue to the end of the level. I believe the purpose of the critter is to show that the boulder/bloodcell is a stage hazard

Cool puzzle game and some unusual controls you have there (unusual, but not bad - i like it!).

In the level with the tubes: the light indication, to show where the character is, was a bit hard to see i.m.o.... And sometimes I died, even though I caught onto the cell in the water and could control them...

But overall nice game :)

Hey nice job! Cool little platform/puzzle game. I enjoyed coming up with solutions to the levels and it was fun doing bullet time jumps between creatures and around obstacles. Good length of game and puzzle variety, and you did a good job introducing new creatures and obstacles and combining them in different ways.

A few points of constructive criticism: It didn't always feel intuitive how to inhabit a creature, sometimes I would jump and go through them. Perhaps a button to snap into the nearest host? I also found it confusing that I needed to rely on the leap ability to get around as the parasite, but had to jump when I was controlling a creature. I'd often leap out of them accidentally because I was so accustomed to clicking to jump as the parasite.

Overall great job, hope to see you in the next jam!

Cool game,

Jumpvelocity ends abrubt, which makes control a little bit junky. Still fun to play it to the end.
