Nice game with a cool concept. My first play through I pressed the arrow buttons and I thought I was some disembodied spirit looking around a "cube" or something. Then my next play through I saw that I could control the robot and then passed that first puzzle on the right. Good stuff!
Had the same problem with falling off the floor when I first switched the "view", but never encountered it again. The overall idea surprised me, a clever one really! Made it to the exit and it was entertaining. Robot looks funny, in a good way. Good job!
I ran into the same issue as Not-Only But-Also below, where I kept falling through the floor and it caused me a lot of problems that weren't able to be fixed without just refreshing the page. I think conceptually though you have a really sweet game and should definitely develop this into something more if you can. It's good stuff!
Sadly the Mac download version is a black screen after the Jam/card intro. Escape the Cube (DEBUG) Version 0.1.0.0
Anyway I hope you have a good Jam :)
Ooh, at first I thought this was just a cute little puzzle game, but mechanically it's actually sort of trippy. I like a game that is smarter than I am (although that, admittedly, is not a very high bar). I really dig it.
My one major issue, and one which actually stopped me from finishing the game, was that I kept falling through the floor on switching sides, and I don't think there was any way to reset besides refreshing the whole page. After having that happen a few times, I decided to call it quits just because it meant I'd have to repeat things.
That said, I'll probably be back to finish this one! It's quite cool. And I love the robot sprite. He looks super pissed off.
