Very cool idea, great job with the art style and an impressive amount of content for a jam game! I agree that it's fairly tough, though, which is always risky in jams because people might already quit before getting to the best parts. Also, standing in the shadows to cool myself down and grow back to full size got a bit annoying after a while. Probably less of an issue if you're really skilled at the game, but to me, it felt like I was spending most of my time waiting... Oh, and: I played with an Xbox Controller, and it said to press X to roll, but I actually had to press Y?
Thanks for the feedback! I don't get the controller problem though, I also use an Xbox controller and I press X (the left button) to roll.
Strange... Just tried it again, for me (playing the web version on Linux) it's definitely Y / the top button. 😅
Maybe it has something to do with Linux, but I really have no clue.
The game felt great. Clever mechanics, enjoyable controls and movement. Sometimes it's a bit too challenging for my taste, but on other hand I can't say it's a bad thing.
I think the game lacks some more visual hint that you collected a power up, because I got stuck a little after taking the snowflake ability.
Overall - very cool. Easily one of the best games of the jam I played
Loved the graphics and the movement felt great. Got a little stuck because i didnt know i had collected the snowflake powerup but other than that one of the best games of the jam
