Game Description
You're lost in a vivid food-induced coma full of strange creatures, rune stones, hungry ghosts, and of course the food that got you in this mess.

How does your game tie into the theme?
You combine with the creatures you encounter and mimic their special abilities. And (for fun) musubis are a fusion food that deliciously combines many different cultures.

Very well made lil game, I enjoyed playing it from start to finish! Great relaxing music and very nice graphic and story, both very charming. Great job!

Aw thank you so much for playing it all! šŸ¤šŸ¤

Really well put together game! :) Great art. The music is makes it super chill, and except for those freaky monsters the rest of the game is the same.

I had a little trouble with the jumping, I thought I had landed and want to jump again but it didn't register? Pretty minor really. Other than that I think there were a couple of unnecessarily difficult timing/jumping pieces (particularly that bit where you change screens and you might not know where the monster is positioned) in my opinion, since it seems you were going for the relaxed vibe and that was unnecessary stress. :)

Overall really solid submission, I'm impressed, well done!

Developer

Aw thanks! šŸ¤ I super appreciate your feedback. I definitely agree with the jumping trouble. I wish Iā€™d had time to finesse that, because I think it can be pretty annoying and distracting. And I definitely appreciate that feedback on the level design šŸ¤ Thank you tons for the thoughtful comment!

I played all the way to the end and had a great time! It was relaxing, pleasant, and at just the right difficult for a cute, shorter game like that. Loved it!

Developer

Woohoo! šŸ¤ Aw thank you so much for playing it all the way through! And it means a lot that it struck the right balance of difficulty for you. Thank you for the feedback!

Wow! What a fun game. I was always excited when I learned a new power or got to use it for the first time! The music was extremely complementary, and even though the platforming was simple, I think this is a great example of how to make a finished game for a jam.

I did run into 1 bug. When two animals are overlapping and you only have 1 musubi, both animal will stay orange as if they had been fed, but only one animal will follow you.

Keep making games!

Thank you so much for playing and for the great feedback!! It means a lot. And thanks for letting me know about that bug! This is definitely the most bug-ridden game I've made so far haha

For a game with the title of "most bug-ridden" it's impressively low on bugs!

very atmospheric. great art and music.

bug: high jump can be reproduced by pressing up and space at the same time. i jumped out the level and got softlocked.

Developer

Thank you!! And thank you a ton for the bug mention šŸ™šŸ½ I'll definitely add it to the list
