I think the controls could use some changing. It'd be nice if picking up was a toggle instead of you having to use one of your WASD fingers to press it at all times, it gets pretty awkward. Also I think you could reduce E, V and ESC into one "interact" button.

Thanks for the feedback!

I liked the concept, but I got unfortunately stuck at the door. Part of the problem is that the controls are a bit inconsistent (E or V for example, Can you use only one?).

I was looking forward to do more cleaning :)

I  managed to get the power going, but the door button doesn't let me get out.  It says "Power restored!" I think, but when I ESC out nothing happens. Fun concept, though!  Playing as a maintenance robot reminds me of Red Dwarf the TV show. : D

The sounds were maybe a bit much and the controls are a bit too many at once and it wasn't clear to me to begin with that I couldn't perform a task while the text was up, although I could move. I think an easy way to solve that would be any button to remove the text and not let you move while it was up. I'd like to try the full game, especially since it says between 10-20 minutes of gameplay. Feel like I missed out because of a game breaking bug. Hope you can fix it after the jam so people can try the full thing!

Developer

I don't thiiink you encountered a bug, just me making extremely questionable design decisions. After you get to the part where it says "Power restored", you should be able to press v and tell the monitor to open the door. In hindsight, this was an extremely bad decision. I'm gonna blame the heat. :D Thank you so much for your feedback!

I think it’s currently bugged? At least I got stuck two times. After cleaning the bath I tried leaving the room and interacted with the panel. A “insufficient energy” screen came up and then nothing else happened. The sound of the moving robot was a bit annoying, I would have preferred the nice title screen melody when cleaning up the mess, but a nice idea.

Developer

Agh, that's a shame. Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment.

Developer

Actually, sorry if this is inappropriate, but could you describe the problem further? Did you close the monitor after the screen said insufficient energy?

Submitted

Sure. The dialog popped up and I couldn’t actually close it. I pressed all the Buttons but nothing happened. It just was stuck in that screen.

I just tried it again and it seems like pressing ESC helped now. So maybe I didn’t tried that in the first two runs. If that’s the case then my wish would be to have used E or V as well because that’s the keys the game told me to use for Interact and Close Dialog. So I expected one of these two buttons to work.

Developer

You're totally right. I wrote in the description that backspace (or esc) could be used to close monitors, but it's super unintuitive. Thanks for the feedback!
