It's a good start! Also, do not under appreciate how much of a HUGE step you have taken to submit anything at all! I'm glad you did! We all learn by doing projects but also seeing the work of others.
This project has made me think of my avoidance of 3d projects, and how I need to step up as you have!  Good job! :-)

Thanks for the encouragement! Submitting a game (for me) isn't too hard or too big of a problem, it's actually finishing the game that is hard. You can see my other projects that I have submitted, they are pretty much all of them complete and playable, apart from this one.

So yeah, I'm still glad I submitted something at least :)

The menu design with all the items was cool. It's fun to see more 3D games being entered into a game jam. I ended up running it on Linux through wine successfully.

Thanks for the feedback! Spent quite a bit of time to make the UI. I like making 3D games and I completely forgot about publishing other platforms as well :P

How did you play my game if there is no gameplay??

Thanks for the feedback anyways :)

there is indeed little to do, but I would be stupid if I would expect anyone to finish a big AAA-studio game in 9 days. you already did better then the 300 people who didn't submit. there is a menu, we can buy things. price get's updated correct, we can't buy everything as are missing just a bit of money to buy all. this also works so you thought of checking this. You build a scene, we can move around , and command our character to move to the desk. it's not a finished game, but it's a good base to build on. and, with some luck you did learn something out of it. so for me this is something I like, and I like it more then people who grab some nice looking sprite's from a website and simply copy an existing code to make Angry Birds version 5008 :).

Thank you so much for your comment! It made my day ;)

Thank you so much for the encouragement, I really needed it.

I really did learn a very big amount of things during this game jam and so many things about Godot that I would've never even thought about (as well as a whole bunch of frustrating things that i still haven't figured out how to do because apparently I'm a small brain with some things).

I also completely learnt how to model things in blender completely from scratch for the first time in my life which is actually pretty crazy to think about.

It was a really far stretched project, even for my knowledge that I had already known to make in something like Unity, but the idea was there. (And it's true, it's basically a AAA game that I just tried to make from scratch in 9 days completely on my own)

Thanks for the encouragement once again and I hope you have a very nice day :)

Hi. I think we had pretty close ideas. Our game also about home chaos.
I always was scared about making 3d game. That's good that you have submitted your game even if it not finished. Trees are looking good and menu is opening with cute animation. Also icons of items in shop are made well.

Developer

Hey that's cool! Thank you for the feedback though, but I kinda had the idea that someone might have a similar thought about this theme. I don't usually end up having the project flop this badly and I usually have the game completed for the submission, but because I didn't start my project with gameplay, I never got to gameplay.

What's the lesson then?  Start your project with gameplay and minimal graphics because you can always add graphics later.

I even made an animation for the massive house extention that I never got to implement (as well as about 35% of other art stuff that I created)

Aww sorry you weren't able to get done in time, was looking forward to playing! If you continue it after the jam let us know on Discord! I think the idea has potential.

Thanks for the encouragement!

I usually get my games done in time but this time it was too ambitious. I'll see how my timelapse video does and then I'll see if I can finish this game
