Godot Version
3.2.rc1

Source
Not at the moment (I intend to publish it after the jam, when I've had more time to work on it)

Game Description
Top-down fantasy shooter, 1-bit style. Probably still has bugs, but I'm hoping it's not so many as to be unplayable.

Participation Level
I think this is my second time, but maybe third! Also there's a typo in this one: it says oyu instead of you.

Interesting game. I included it in my Godot Wild Jam #17 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Nice game! I liked the minimal 1 bit art, it fits the underground move very well. The minimap is also pretty nice and gives useful information, well done. Characters felt balanced, and it was interesting to swap between them.
On the minus side, levels felt a bit empty. I think simply making levels smaller would make them feel more intense.

Completely agreed. My level design suffered for sure, as I was getting pressed for time while attempting to implement music/sfx. When that failed, I just called it quits for this period. It's a great call out though!

I actually liked this quite a bit. I think my biggest complaint (other than the lack of any sound) is the fact the levels are so big and empty, it's sort of hard to know where you're going or where things are. Like the minimap is impressive, but since it just shows a grid instead of like... where walls and stuff is, it's only useful at telling you the general direction something is. I was doing pretty well, without dying, but eventually I got to a part where there were enemies in another area (probably thru a warp) but I had no idea how to get to them. It was frustrating to end the run like that.

The aesthetic of this game is minimal but it works pretty well. Good job :)

Hm! I think that was on purpose, the weird place you found. That said, I totally see your point and will work to make it less confusing. I did notice the minimap, while awesome, can be difficult to work with since it has long periods (like the actual game) with no details. I will work to correct that and attempt to show the actual tilemap in it. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool game with interesting mechanics to explore. I really like the graphics and the effects you created for the skills. Trying them out was interesting and fun, you managed to pack quite a lot in. It was a bit confusing, lacking a clear direction and feedback from the  sounds. But a nice submission overall!

Developer

Thanks! Yes, I noticed that as well. I am not sure if I want to layer a loose story over it, or just have a helper sort of thing to indicate what's left to do.

I forgot to mention: no music or sfx. I ran out of time and energy, given it was just me. But I'll be adding them in the future with the help of an artist.
