Thank you for your entry into the jam! I really enjoyed playing this - although similar to another reviewer also struggled to get on the roof! That being said - it was kind of like playing a version of crazy taxi with a jet pack. Some epic stuff here, loved it. Thanks again!
Fun game, the bonus collectables were a great addition. Have multiple objects later on works well to increase the pacing and skill of the game.
This was fun overall once I got the hang of the controls and movement. However there was not much help in learning the mechanics and so it took a while to get there figuring it out on my own. Some instructions on the gameplay mechanics and what you're supposed to be doing would go a long way. That said the controls themselves were responsive and smooth. Everything runs well even in the browser on my underpowered laptop. The theme is a bit weak apart from money number get bigger. Visually it all looks great and fits well together. Overall quite a good effort for a 1-week game.
The game has potential to be really fun, but I found the movement mechanics hard to understand, and kept failing when a delivery was on a roof, because I had no clue how to get up there. On the plus side, the game looks good, and the sounds and music a nice too.
Nice art style and music. Reminds me of crazy taxi. I couldn't figure out how to get onto the rooftops for some missions though. Maybe I'm just missing something though
A pretty entertaining game
Hey this would really great if i knew what i was doing, you should add a tutorial if you keep working on the game after. overall good game i just didnt know what i was doing
The thumbnail of this game really caught my attention and I was excited to see what would be the `lore` and how tip size would be implemented on the game itself. However, I don`t really get what`s going on to be honest. I read the game page to try to find an explanation and I still don`t get it. The visuals were nice and the movement was really smooth though. This would be a really cool game if I knew what I was doing!
I didn’t know i could walljump until i read the comments. Also i don’t see how the Size matters is implemented in this one and whats the point of collecting sodas? Lot of questions. Enough with negativity tho, the movement with sliding felt really smooth and the game overall looks pretty good. Just more clear instructions could help the game a lot! I could see this being very enjoyable experience.
Good critique, the game definitely needs a better introduction to the mechanics. If you wanted to know, the sodas boost your tips. I'd hoped players would think carefully about the routes they took to deliver to maximize their tips. Which would tie into the theme of tip "size", bigger being better. Thanks for the feedback!
Took me a while to figure out there was a wall jump i dont really what is the point of like the sodas that are scattered around the map couldnt see how you implemented the theme overall fun game once you learn how to wall jump
I had no idea what I was doing, but I had lots of fun just traversing the city and collecting foods! Wasn't sure where the size concept was though.
Nice art style. Did you make the assets yourself?
Thanks! They're from a Synty studios asset pack I tweaked the textures on.
The textures looked great 🔥
First impressions: Font and logo are sick. I love the art style in the branding.
Gameplay: "A crazy taxi style game? I'm gonna love this". I completed the first order, a pizza, and then when I get the second order, a coffee, the delivery point spawns on the roof of the apartments. I don't know if I'm missing something obvious but I can't deliver it! -- So far I really love this game, the mechanics are cool, the art style is my favourite so far, and the concept is right up my alley. I just wish I could play the game!
Awesome review, glad you got what I was going for. You're right the deliveries are too hard. If you want to make the coffee delivery you can jump onto the top of the shop, and dash across with Shift. You can also infinitely wall jump up the apartment by running into the wall and spamming spacebar. Though it's a bit inconsistent on that wall. Next time I'll make a better tutorial :-)
- Thanks!
