How does your submission match the theme?
All our mechanics have at least two purposes, jumping makes you fall or bounce, killing hazards give you life and gets rid of them, sliding changes gravity and moves you forward, and so on.

That much spinning around is disorienting (unless if you're going for that), but its really hard to control and the camera sometimes gets in the way. Jumping is just impossible.

Love the look, love the idea, but I feel like controlling the path instead of the character could have gone somewhere more interesting

I found it hard make the movements in the right timing (the direction was frequently postpone to the next tile).
