this was a very good game, but i just wish there was a way to regain health.
This was really fun! I was afraid at first that the dices would only determine my starting stats, but I was positively surprised. If you want to take the game further, maybe you could do some kind of roguelike where you could upgrade your dices, like replacing spells or attacks with other types of weapons, or things like that. I would play it !
This is a fun little game ! I really liked the concept and the gameplay is satisfying. Great entry all in all !! :D
Nice game. Liked the art and UI. Please check out my game.
Love it, really cool game, reminds me of tabletop rpgs
Nice game, it was enjoyable to run a few levels before dying. What you have work really well, no bugs to be found.
Well executed. Maybe intruduce the mechanics one by one, but the game worked just fine and was fun. Well done!
add audio, a healing mechanic, bosses and maybe dice you can pick up and you got yourself a good game
Great effort. The presentation is excellent, especially animating all the randomly generated sprites, and the 3D dice rolls still feel nice and smooth on top of the 2d pixelated graphics.
The gameplay is simple but I found it quite addictive (played 5 or 6 times, highest level I got past was 10). However after a while it got repetetive, I found the best strategy was to stay still and roll the attack dice until I got enough ranged attacks to pick everyone off which does get old after a while (shooting 2 enemies at a time is very satisfying though!)
I'd suggest adding a healing spell, and maybe letting you hold onto a melee attack in case an enemy comes in range next turn. Also some music would be good too.
Further development, maybe you could add loot pickups with potions / power-ups?
Hmmm... interesting, this game deserves more. Great effort!
I love the concept and the art. This game is a really good proof of concept!
Here are some suggestions to improve it even more!
Having your movement take an entire turn on its own is very frustrating so maybe have each turn have a movement and attack portion. Otherwise half the time you are just trying to chase down an avoidant enemy or putting yourself in harms way to just be able to do a basic attack.
After each floor give a reward that "upgrades one of your die". By this I mean you could do something like give them an extra number 5 for their die so they can tailor their dice to their play-style and make it more skill based.
Have the spells have different formations.
Like I said, very good start! Keep going with the idea for it has a lot of potential!
One of the best game I played for the moment!
Love the mechanic, and the presentation (except sound of course :( )
My favorite moment was when I shot an arrow and I was thinking "mmh would be cool if the arrow continue and kill the other monster behind". So rewarding!
What a good game!
The artstyle works.
I feel like things are a bit too random, so that it's difficult to solve the game and skill doesn't really factor into it.
This game feels like the predecessor of a great game made outside a game jam.
Edit: Two suggestions for improvement:
Obviously audio would be great. Also, show us all hexes we can move to instead of moving one hex after the other. So that you have a circle of hexes in range and can pick any one to move to.
Cool game, I realy like the haracters visuals, some sound efects would be nice
I loved this game! The mechanics are simple and easily understood, and the 3D dice is really satisfying.
Really fun and nice controls, very intuitive and pretty creative the 3d dice roll. No audio feels empty though and maybe more vibrant visuals could've made the presentation more enticing, but it stands on its own!
the game is pretty fun! I have no idea if it's my broken headphones or if there's just no audio at all, but it does feel a bit empty without sfx. Good game tho!
Unfortunately the time I had set aside to do audio and tooltips caught up to me and was spent chasing down some nasty show-stopping bugs I couldn't replicate in editor, so your headphones are probably fine! Thank you ^^
