A fun wee platformer! It did feel like roll mode more-or-less served as a double jump. Having some sort of opportunity to roll down a slop fast would've been very nice. The camera sometimes changed a fair bit when switching to roll mode which made the platforming harder. A drop shadow would also be good to see where you're going. Overall lovely.
thank you for the feedback!
I really like the mechanic that you can basically make a double jump, but if you do you have no controll as you are rolling. Overally really fun to play!
Thank you!!
Very nice game! I like the sound effects.
Have collected all 6!
I really like the aesthetics and the game brings much enjoyment. The main character is so cute :)
thank you sm!!
A few things:
- the camera kinda works against you at times, especially when you're double jumping
- I don't think the game ever tells you that you can double jump, but it's required for a lot of pieces
- both the walking and the rolling form of the player "remember" their momentum and it can lead to a few weird cases and even abuses
But all of those are superminor things for a 48 game jam and it's commandable that you even bothered with the separate camera for rolling. Overall really fun game and I like the take on the theme. Also, might be the most functioning 3d platformer I've seen at a game jam :)
Thank you! I definitely had some issues with the camera that I didn't quite have the time to iron out, and my 'tutorial' area definitely could have benefit from a more explicit explanation of the double jump mechanic. I appreciate the feedback though!
Love the board game aesthetic! Nice work!
Thank you!
