Very interesting concept with a lot of depth, took a bit of time to understand but overall a solid game!

Took abit of time to understand the game. cuz i didnt wanted to read the huge chunk of text for how to play lol but overall it was a good concept/game.

Developer

To be honest, I feel that's the better way to experience the game. I added the text explanation based on feedback on early builds, as somewhat of a bandaid. I think I'll add animations and things like that in a post-jam version to help with the natural process of understanding the game as you play it.

Pretty obtuse, but has a good amount of depth. Would benefit from a playable tutorial instead of a block of text, but I get that time is probably too strict to implement that. Overall, not bad!

Really cool concept! I think it could definitely be developed even further after the jam!

Very cool idea. Really doesn't need anything more than what it already has, maybe music but that's it. The fact that you had time to implement random events like cursed die, random piles of gold and merchants is impressive for 48h.
Great job!

Really good idea, and well executed (especialy the pin mechanic). But I didn't really figure out the energy role and abilities ?

Developer

At the end of a turn, when you and your opponent deal damage, you also get one energy per lightning symbol rolled. This is tracked below the buttons, next to the rolls and pins, and energy does not disappear (except at the end of a battle). Starting at your next turn, you can use the energy on the abilities, each ability can be executed only once per turn. At the end of the turn, when the damage is done, the ability is locked in, before that time, you can click it again to turn it off and you'll get your energy back.

Interesting but pretty unintuitive to figure out at first! I always like re-rolling and locking dice mechanics!

Fun game, although it took me a few rounds to understand how it worked. I think the tutorial could've been a little clearer. I did appreciate the simplicity of the design, and I think it could even work as a tabletop game. Congrats!

Reminds me of those old strategic Flash games, good memories

Once I realized that the position of the dice didn't matter and how the lightning bolts worked, the game clicked and I dug it.

Fun idea and a lot to get done in 48 hours! Well done! I like that unused pins are saved. This reminds me of table top games like Star Wars Imperial Assault
