I don't even remember why I went for amphibians in the first place, but i'm ok with my simple pixel art on this one ;)

Thanks !

Thanks, i'm glad you had fun :)

Thanks for playing !

Difficulty is a bit tough sometimes yes !

I'm glad you had a good time :)

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enoyed it !

Hey thanks for playing !

Yeah it was on the exported .exe ? I forgot to add a win screen sorry for that. But be assures that you won ! well done !

Super polished, no so chill when you tryhard xD

Don't know what to say other than "well done". Classic idea but very well executed !

Good job on completing your first gamejam !

To be faire, even reading the isntructions i was a bit lost on what to do. The "hurt" sound was quite loud. Not too sure of what i played but i hope you keep developping :)

Cute art and music !

I went to 15 pumpkins at my highest !

Simple but very well executed. And looking back at it enemy AI was probably not that simple !

It was very fun and the art and palette was on point.

Cute !

Good job on making your first gamejam !

I couldn't dig multiple holes sadly and the game is pretty bare bones. But for a first one you did great, hope to see you in the next editions !

Thanks so much for your kind words !

Yeah combat still a bit clunky, and map design was rough. Glad you enjoyed it !

Great package ! Some tweaks here and there would make it perfect, like any gamejam game. But overall once you get the hang of it, this is very good. Was amazed you made a whole crafting system in there !

Congrats

If you did the art and music woah this is very cool ! The atmosphere is great.

I had a bit of trouble with the paltforming. The concept is great but not being able to jump, velocity.x being locked i think when jumping etc made it a bit clunky and i couldn't go further than the little cave. It seems you can also hardlock yourself when using ghosts.

But for a jam, excellent, well done !

Cool little concept !

More feedback would have been nice, with the ui at the wrong dimensions it was hard to follow.

Hope you had fun making it ! Congrats

Love the theme, aesthetic and mechanics.

Multiple levels of thinking needed.

A bit more polish (sound) would help but damn this is wellmade !

Very impressive for a few weeks of godot experience and first gamejam ! Congrats

Concept was well executed, maybe a bit frustrating to not be able to stop certain animals because of player speed. Sounds were also a bit annoying after a certain time.

I hope you continue developing on Godot !

Loved it

Lost to time tho, 400 seemed like a lot !

But the twist of stealing and selling back to the black market was very fun !

Well done :)

Cool concept !

Maybe starting at the place the character does (having to go back then double jump at an angle) is a bit frustrating. I think the pixel art resolution can give a bit of motion sickness when going that fast.

Loved the aesthetic and what you went for in a single week !

Congrats !

Thanks for playing ! Yeah difficulty ramps up a bit too fast for a jam game I think !

I think the design of the cards is far from perfect, and it's missing feedback and effects to aid the understanding !

Thanks for your feedback !

Don't be too tough on your brain, sometimes while testing I couldn't myself find the anwser ^^

If I extend the game, I'll rise the difficulty slower with maybe a skip level mechanic at a cost

Thanks for playing :) !

I'm still trying to process if there is enought potential for a full release here, we'll see !

Thanks for playing !

Yeah that's good feedback, I feel too that some effects would help visualise the "blood transfer" better and clarify the turorial levels.

Glad you enjoyed it, we'll see if I make an extended/fixed version !

Well that's a comment I didn't expect ^^ ! I guess keeping a tight palette makes anything look good ! (My talents with photoshop vector are not great). Thanks, I'm glad you liked it :D

No reason to be sorry ! thx for your precious feedback :) Tell me if you succeed the last lvl now ;)

It's explained succintly on the game page with a screenshot ! On playtest this was the mechanic that was the most often forgotten. If I had more time I would put some effects to show it.

Thanks for rating and playing !

I answer here too, in case someone is stuck.

A card can produce twice as much symbols if you provide twice as much blood as needed ! This is not very well explained in lvl 3 ! Hope you can finish what is the last lvl !

Glad you enjoyed it !

Hey ! I know this mechanic wasn't too well communicated, but a card can produce 2 symbols if you provide twice as much blood as needed ;)
This is the last level btw, you get a little lore fluff and a different music if you finish it !

Thanks for playing !

Good concept ! Had fun typing random stuff

To be fair: I didn't really understand the mechanic of different words, typing numbers and jibberish made me win.

Simple but effective, I find it hilarious that undead rise when they don't have their begonias on their tomb.

A bit hard tho !

Great polish, great juice, it feels great to play

Not much innovation, it's vampire survivor after all, but very enjoyable to play thanks to all the little details:

- Enemy variety

- Enemy death animations

- Bosses

- Great SFX and music

Good job !

Good job on submitting ! I had fun !

Some notes:
- Wall of text at the begining without skip

- Controls are a bit clunky (no coyote time I think)

- Grappling is fun

- Arena is maybe a bit small for the speed you can achieve

- Would be cool to credit the art assets you used

- Assets a bit all over the place style wise

HTML 5 build doesn't seem to work

Lovely design and art, quite hard to understand the tutorial / start screen ( a bit cluttered).

Dash was weird, in the direction of the movement and not the mouse ?

Good job, I liked it !

Just so you know if this is unintentional: your game is not free right now. You have to pay 1$ or more to play it.

In game jams it's expected to not pay for games, because they are experiments and we try to give genuine feedback on them.

Even if it's just 1$, nobody gonna spend this to play any game in a game jam. You are not gonna get ratings and feedback.

Congrats for finishing something !

Cool concept, tho only having one possibility of a god per life restricts gameplay quite a bit.

Some (I hope) constructive notes (most of it is if you had more time) :

- A pool of health maybe would have been more enjoyable

- Sometimes the screen stayed red for some reason

- Missing some SFX and feedback for hitting

- I'm in love with the triangles faces

- As you said restart doesn't work, try to not link code to something that can't despawn ;) (hook it to the root node of the scene or make it an autoload game manager)

You are thinking about making a fully fleshed out game as you say on the game's page. If you find it fun, go for it. But maybe you could learn more engine and code knowledge by experimenting on very small projects like this one first ?

Good job on this submission !

Cute game, couldn't figure out how to put wood in. I picked up the 3 bundles but it still said I needed 3...

Congrats on getting it done ! I saw that it is you first successful submission made, you did it !

Some general notes (mostly things that you could have done if you ahd more time^^) :

- UI to track components would have been nice

- Story is fun and not too heavy

- Lack of a mechanic hook for me at least

- Pixel art is kinda all over the place style-wise with the different assets

- You pass on the house roof not behind

- I can see the BG color when hugging the tree limit on the right

Good job !

Awesome work:
- Great and unique artstyle, a bit of motion sickness for me (probably the static "rock" texture) while mooving
- Cool and simple narrative
- Animations and music are great
- Gameplay simple but effective, dash feels great
- I went to the forest first so I did a lot of backtracking, not the most enjoyable with enemy respaw

- Missing some UI for dash CD and items

- Sometimes you get hit particles from enemy but no health damage

Great experience, good job !

Really cool artstyle, missing some feedback for actions. Selecting a unit is not very obvious.

Loved the hat on the rats and the overall idea, good job !

Great unique concept ! Tutorial was a nice addition.

Controls are a bit finicky.

There is quite a lot of enemies and abilities for a game jam, good job !

Yes I did put a 2sec delay between the end of level box and the win condition achieved but the speed of it makes it still hard to understand what you did right the first levels.

Thanks for playing !

Thanks, I'm glad I made your neurons fire !
