Brainwash sacrifices with your chants!

How does your game tie into the theme?
The game is preparing sacrifices for a ritual. As the mechanism for the words' attributes is obfuscated, I think this also plays into the ritualism/superstition of the theme - as the player is likely to fall to confirmation bias.

This is a really cool interpretation on the theme and I found the tutorial you included in the game to be pretty useful. The music fits the game well although I feel the sound effects could be a bit louder. Great work!

Hey very original idea, theres something satisfying about seeing the word you typed in game, I had no issues the first playthrough, the mechanic was simple and intuitive. I played a bit more and find out that you can win by only playing the training mode, nothing that diminished my experecince.

I kept forgetting there was a character lenght cap and trying to counter act "stupid" with "intell". eventually i found out the word "insane" is a power house and kills everything by itself in a few seconds. I guess that makes sense.

i had NO idea what was going on at any point but really really like this. great job.

Good concept ! Had fun typing random stuff

To be fair: I didn't really understand the mechanic of different words, typing numbers and jibberish made me win.

Words have a handful of attributes which are derived mathematically from the word you enter (things like speed, strength/defense, and frequency of movement). I originally checked against a wordlist, but decided to abandon it because it's genuinely more fun to type swear words and gibberish - thus "chants".

Cute little game, I like the own style and music fitting together and it is a very strong asset. I had trouble with coming up with the words sometimes but managed to finish the game in time.

If you every plan on a post-jam update I'd recommend changing the input method from the normal text which you have to focus and maybe just listen to the keyboard input yourself as it is faster and more natural to me at least.

Aye, a friend suggested toggling on the "focus" feature of the line input. Seems that's the most jarring thing for most people. I do like the idea of just listening to inputs and "sending" whenever you hit 6 characters, for example. Great idea!
