Really good game and really scalable levels!
Probably the best level design ive seen so far for the jam, the core mechanic is used in a very creative way and really fun and easy to understand. The only small itty bitty improvement would be the jumping, it doesnt feel quite right and is maybe a bit short. Other than that, really good!
If you plan on doing more high qualitiy levels for this game I would definetly play them!
This is so encouraging, and I am thrilled you liked it and enjoyed the levels. I am indeed considering creating new levels and improving many of the mechanics, including the jump, so thanks for the feedback. Any puzzle in particular that you enjoyed the most?
I think one of my favorites is where you had to make one object bigger so it pushes a ball to do something else, I think that was really creative and could probably be well expanded upon!
Why so short!?
Very nice touch that in the level with falling block the 1st one is falling on its own! - Good level design
Nice entry, would play more!
OMG, thanks for mentioning it. Yes, it is short indeed, hahaha. I ran out of time; it was just me. I will work on more puzzles in the future.
Nice little game, controls are a bit weird but other than that its pretty good!
Its a bit short and the puzzles arent very difficult, but thats just me.
Nice :)
I am glad you liked it. The controls are indeed a flaw, and I will need to work on that in future versions. It’s a good sign that puzzles can be leveled up. Is there any favorite in particular?
Thanks for playing and for the feedback.
The part where you make a ball hit something to make a bridge, its brilliant
Simple but very cool, want more levels of something like that. Music screams you need someone to shoot.
Puzzle where sphere can be moved by enlarging near object is my fav
Great insights into the puzzles! Will definitively dive deeper into chain reaction–type puzzles. And as you say, the music might infer that there will be someone or something to shoot at. I can have a look at that for the next releases.
Thanks!
In the review I will focus on the idea because it is the most important, it is very well done. In other respects, you can see that lack of time was a factor. The only thing I can complain about is the lack of a button to restart the level
Thanks for playing. I’d like to know which aspects you consider were more impacted by the lack of time. Your comments will help me create a better second version. The reset button, indeed! I need to add that one soon!
Simple yet working and interesting game ! It misses a reload level button but apart from that the puzzles are cool !
A reload level button! Yes, indeed, hahaha. I did improvise by placing the lava on all the levels so you could unalive yourself, haha. A few lines of code would have been enough. On the next release. Any favorite puzzles? Thanks for playing
Good puzzle game
Thanks! Do you mind telling me which one was your favorite?
it have a physic of object when it get bigger or smaller, can change scaling multiply and I don't know is it a bug or your purpose but can shrink object to disappear is interesting.
Enjoyed it! Camera felt a little slow, like the idea !
I’m glad I enjoyed it and liked the idea! Yes, the camera feels odd. Cinemachine has its advantages, but it has many disadvantages for FPS games if you don’t enable sensitive settings. I will fix it in future versions.
Not bad
Not surprised
I like the feel of it and how you can shrink stuff into nonexistence.
The first time I coded the mechanic, I laughed a lot, hahaha, because I wasn’t expecting that. Then I checked my math, and of course, If you de-scale something by 1 (-1), it disappears, hahaha. I am glad you liked the feel of it.
Nice game, feels a lot like portal and I like portal, the physics based puzzles are super cool, the style is cool but a tad inconsistent I feel the gun doesn't really match the environment (graphics wise) but I think it is a cool concept and fun to shoot stuff to grow/shrink them, I think the scale factor could have been expanded upon more I didn't feel like I needed to use it but good ideas! I had fun playing! :)
I am glad you liked it! Shooting stuff is always fun, hahaha I would like to know more about your feeling that you did not need the scaling factor. Any more insights are more than welcome! I also agree that the gun would have been better. Noted for the next releases.
I like the idea of the scale factor it is really cool but I just didn't ever really need to use it, I think maybe have some puzzles where you have to use that ability more like maybe some timing based puzzles that you need to react to fast for the scaling factor to be more needed, again really cool concept and ideas I enjoyed it! :)
Helpful feedback, thanks!
This game gives me hella portal vibes and really good. The puzzles work really well and are enjoyable so that when you solve them it really feels nice. With more added it could be a amazing game. Really good work on that.
I am so glad you like the puzzles. I put a lot of thought into creating a cohesive sequence of challenges and difficulty for a game intended to be played in 5 minutes. I am considering evolving the game into a more complete project. Thanks for playing!
Really love the Portal inspiration (I believe?) considering I just recently played both! The mechanics work pretty well and the puzzles were actually enjoyable, wish there was more! A few nitpicks: some sort of setting to adjust the sensitivity would be nice, and I'd like to be able to shoot directly below yourself more easily (struggled with that a little on one of the early levels). Other than that, great work!
Your comments are so insightful! Thanks for your kind words. This is my first Game Jam solo, and I had to cut many things out to put together something decent. I am well aware of the sensitivity issue; I will look into it soon! And yes, Portal was a big inspiration.
It’s yet another FPS with funny puzzle mechanics. Enjoy! You can scale up with a left click, scale down with a right click, and change the scale factor with a scroll.
