Pretty neat! It could use some variation in the tilesets and it's quite difficult, but it has potential!
A beautiful and quite challenging game. Very cool upgrade system
i think the start is bugged
liked the music and style
Huh strange, haven’t had anyone else report this bug. When you got an upgrade (if you got past this bugged start) did the item get screen appear with the pink background? It seems to me like for whatever reason when the game runs for you the background used for the screen that is usually attached to the player was made detached and visible.
ok so with a lot of guessing and pain managed to move past the pink cube and did reach the spring
will say the robot by default i feel should be able to at least jump 1 block without a running start
upgrade system is neet on the fact you select what button you want, though it should tutorial to drag the item to the desired slot
it's really fun to speed around with high velocity! art is good and the music slaps by the way. but maybe a restart button would be cool. great work, man!
I agree with what others have said, movement being tied to velocity is a bit rough. That said, I really like this interpretation of the theme, building a robot with parts to scale a mountain. Very clever and well done!
Edit: oh your description even says as much lol, I didn't read it before playing.
i think it’s kind of clunky to have jump height tied to character velocity. made it really hard to platform
it was a bit rough learning it at first but it also felt really cool being able to slot the upgrades in different binds!
Start of the game is definitely a little bit rough but the art style is pretty cool and I can see where you are trying to get with the game mechanics. You did well with the time that you were given and im sure it can be even better in the future. Nice work!
Start of the game was rough but I like the metroidvania aspect.
