Hard to win without "cheesing" the AI, but really neat in concept.
Played on stream! See the video for timestamp.
Interesting idea! The graphics do a great job of showcasing the theme. The enemy was a little too jank and there wasn't enough feedback on the items to know how well I was doing so I wasn't able to finish it.
I like the game’s concept!
However the design of the stage tends to favor the top immediately, making the rest of the stage moot. It also favors quick play, in which the missiles don’t give much chance to.
With a bit of tweaking, this can work very well! Well done. Oh, and at least a button for restart and/or beginning the game. The game starting immediately actually gives the one playing it panic and confusion, no breathing room, rather.
Thanks for the very detailed feedback! The point about most of the level being dead space is a very good point- it was actually initially supposed to be a human player that jumped from platform to platform, but with the flying mechanic the bottom portion of the game is useless. Glad you had fun!
I love this game and the AI is fricking brutal with how quickly it destroys things.
The only lil gripe I have is that it definitely would benefit from a quick restart button because having to delete everything and watch it reach the end can be tedious.
Thanks for playing! I think a restart button is probably the most common feedback so far, so I'll definitely add it after the jam :D
13/15!
Enjoyable combos definitely no bugs whatsoever trust they are features - you, great art style, SFX were nice and the shaders were delicious.
Chat - "he is way too determined to reach unidentified orange box"
Thanks for the feedback; you are correct in saying there are no bugs whatsoever, for sure.
It's a very creative game and the idea is quite good, it has good music, good graphics and it's simple but entertaining. I had problems to kill the player and it seemed unfair how difficult it is to kill him. But it's a good game. Good job!
Thanks! I'll tune the AI after the jam :)
Cool concept and interpretation of the prompt! The AI was a pretty buggy, and bounced around, and once or twice I had to close and reopen, but it was fine on most runs. The amount of HP he has and the lack of RAM return from some constructs led to the only practical option being to lock him in a box and fill it with grenades, but even then it didn't die, so I walled off the exit and placed the last laser I could afford, which it ran into. The game base is very promising, just some balancing reworks would make it far more enjoyable. Rotation of some of the objects would also add a lot of options, along with maybe some control on the grenade's velocity.
Thanks for the feedback! The AI can get a bit confused at times if there's too much happening at once, so I'll definitely try to improve that in the future! Also I do agree with you, it has a bit too much HP; I think some balancing changes are in order! Hope you still had some fun :)
This is a super cool concept. I think the design and the presentation are very good, but the player's pathfinding seemed super confused so it was hard for it to accomplish its goal, which also made it hard for me to predict its movements. Good submission though nonetheless
Thanks for playing! I'll definitely look at improving the path finding in the future :D
Nice Game But Pretty Hard!
I felt like the pathfinding of the player really struggled sometimes and moved irregularly. Sometimes bouncing wildly all over the place and other times beelining for the exit haha
But still don't regret the time I spent trying to kill the little guy!
The concept was interesting, and I definitely had some fun playing it!
I didn't feel like the player's tools worked in a way that felt "correct", and that the only way to win was to essentially "cheat" (such as trapping the Bean, and abusing the AI), which didn't lead to a satisfying "victory" moment. That aside, I think this is definitely worth playing, and I'm sad that there weren't more levels! Goodluck in the jam!
Thanks for playing! I definitely agree with you, although I meant trapping and abusing AI to be a part of the fun!
Awesome interpretation of the concept! The AI was a bit... interesting at times but I understood what to do fairly quickly as the game was very straight-to-the-point. I really liked what you went for here, but it leads me yearning for more (I wish the scope was a bit larger). Anyways, cool game!
Good game. Abilities other than the laser and platforms need more utility and there should be a more reliable way to get more RAM or reset the level (or both) since sometimes the guy simply refuses to complete his objective
Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely add a reset button after the jam.
Nice and pretty balanced game, although I would have liked some more level so that you could be introduced to your agilitys more slowly.
Thanks for the feedback! If I had more time, I would definitely spend it creating a tutorial for the game :D
Pretty polished game! The art and music and sound effects are really great, and it's fun to try to force the guy into a corner to try to trap him. I think it is a bit hard, and would be better if you started with more money/had a way to gain money. With a bit more time I think this game could be really fun!
Thanks for the feedback! You can actually right-click on objects to "remove" them and gain the RAM spent on them back. Hope you had fun!
