this is a top down shooter where the role of the player was swapped with the role of the gun , so you're the gun moving around the player and shooting , by the way you dodge by taking the player as a sheild

Kinda fun. But it plays basically lika a regular top down shooter, just with automatic movement.
it was supposed to be far from that (for example the player doesn't dodge but you can take him as a cover ) and there was a lot of other things to make it far from that but you know the time isn't enough

The first level is kinda unfair. Because you can't control the player you cant' doge the bullets and since there is no healing system one mistake can end the entire run. If there was things that you could shoot to regain health it would be a lot more balanced! The second level is slightly better, It gives the player a shotgun that deals more damage. It doesn't fix the problem but because enemies are easier to kill you don't really take much damage where as in the previous level you needed to land all of your bullets precisely on the enemies quick enough. Especially considiring that this was made with a team the balancing of the game should have been way better. But overall i think it was a pretty fun game! It could be made into a full release with a couple of improvements! The music was way too loud for me but ignoring that i think it should have been a little more calmer because the music definetly does not match what im seeing on the screen. I don't think listening to doom music while walking down a corridor is very fitting. Good luck on your future projects!

The fact that you could take the box as a shield should have been more telegraphed. But for a first project it's really REALLY impressive. Much better than my first game...

and also you can't really call us a team since that's our first project and only one of us uses unity
and it was planned to make the game more doomish but there wasn't much time or experience

Don't mind using an autoclicker on the first level
We forgot to put a cooldown for the pistol
But it is cheating
I think my eardrums burst when I first launched the game haha, great effort tho

I do like the concept of controlling the gun instead of the player, but right now it kinda feels like a normal top-down shooter where player movement is controlled by the computer. On the other hand I don't know how the concept could have been developed further given the time constraints. It's still fun, and congrats on making something functional.

I got to what I think is the end (second level, the character just stopped). The character motion is interesting, some times I thought i was looking for cover haha

Great concept, I like it a lot. It reminds me of one of those on rail shooting segments of a call of duty campaign. I know you didn't make the music yourself but it's still awesome, giving DOOM vibes. Overall well executed and enjoyable. Very good job. A sprite for the player would have been nice but it's a 48 hour game jam so entirely justifiable. The only thing gameplay wise that could've been improved is it would have been nice to have some other type of abilities besides shooting. The shotgun added nice variation though.
we put it on the plan that you do a special ability by right clicking at the cost of losing the gun and you stack 3 weapons as your health stock but sadly there wasn't much time
That would've worked really well, but it's a 48hr jam so makes sense. It's still a really solid game.
The sprite for the player is supposed to be an fbi agent named Agent Smith (Reference to the Matrix)

It is just our first project and the sprites where made at a fast speed (kind of)
So expect for better content later
