Very cute art style. The icon grabbed my attention right away from the submissions list.
I ended up at a high score of 800 after a few attempts, the controls were a bit tricky to get a handle on and occasionally you would just have to smack it as hard as you can and hope for the best lol
Great art and well done!
First off, the art style was incredible! I struggled a bit with the bouncing control and ended up just pushing them around together and then rushing at the flowers, but I like the concept. Good job!
Aaaand another great game! Enjoyed playing it - it was so much fun stretching the "bond" as much as possible and then let them bounce around like crazy. I also like the artwork a lot. A tech question: How did you implement the "wobbling lines"? Are these made out of 2 separate images? Or is there a way to make one image wobble like this? I really would like to hear your oppinion/rating for our game as well - they both are kind of similar.
Thank you so much for your kind comments!! We made the wobbling lines (I like to call them lines that are free in the wind) by animating an image using four frames. For example, if you wanted to animate an apple with those lines you would draw it out and use onion skins to draw on the next frames. Don't worry about getting the frame to match the one before perfectly because then you will lose the beautiful wobble! I mostly always use four frames for things like the characters' faces and three for big complicated things like the environment. I don't recommend using two frames because it usually looks too jittery! We will definitely check out your game as soon as possible :D!! If you have anymore questions about the animations just let me know!
Really lovely art and a fun idea, too! I loved how crazy it could get bouncing around! Great work!
I love the artstyle, super cute!! I like the concept of "golf-ing around" your partner, but it seems a bit unhealthy :P
I really love the look of this game, but I think a little polish in other aspects than the artstyle would’ve done the game some good - even just a couple simple SFX and better collision on the environment would have done a lot. I still had a pretty good time with this very cute game, though!
