Pretty fun game here, I really like the audio and feels really good to play. The sword felt a little weird though as I feel its range was very small, leading to some frustrating attacking, other than that it was really great. Good work here!

I'd also really appreciate feedback on my game! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/695512

Really good game and a unique take on platforming. I really liked the first few levels as you were teaching the concepts.

I had two issues with the game, though. The first was that it would have been nice to have a timer counting down the weapon change or maybe even something like tetris where you know the next weapon, but that's it (I am on widescreen, so if a timer or something was cut out of the frame, ignore this). Secondly, for a platform with not a lot of control, the hitboxes on the spikes felt really unforgiving. I landed once probably 85% on the ground and 15% on the spikes and died from it, and that didn't feel quite right.

Really good game, though. With the theme being out of control, it was nice to play a game that felt out of control, but not just needlessly difficult/annoying.

You are right that it is sometimes unfair, I was planning to improve it a bit more but there was no time left. Some QOL improvements as well, as you said with knowing what weapons you change to. Thanks for the advice!

The question is "How does your game fit the theme" and your answer is "Yes"

Apart from that, very nice game!
