The game features all the elements that it need to be a challenging platformer, but my issue is that there is no pacing... all happens at once from the very beginning! x)

However, once you manage to reach the first coin, somehow the game starts feeling a bit more fair and fun. I loved the art in the intro sequence! :D

Music and art are the highlights of this game.
Platforming is not too snapy and not too fun and it takes the power of the game.
With that more fluff things it would be awesome.
Good work, just need some polish

not bad, but needs a lot of work. or was an experiment that went wrong.

i had trouble from the very beginning. the jump was very inconsistent, and it was hard to get to the platforms above. this made all the other things 10x worse: the fireballs, the spikes, and the blackouts.  If I could trust my character to jump the way Id expect then I could deal with all the other threats. unfortunately, i couldnt trust the character, so i rage quit.

I imagine you were experimenting with having a random jump height. so far ive found games that have random jump heights to be more annoying than interesting, and ultimately game breaking. worth a shot during a game jam, but i wouldn't make a full game out of it.

I love the intro drawings. Nice music. Having a platformer where controls randomly become unavailable is a decent idea I think.
It took me a while to realize I could double-jump. With some of the symbols at the top I never figured out what they mean. I think the spikes at the bottom make it more stressful than I'd like.
