Hey I got around to playing it-- like I said before I LOVE the art.  The rock throwing mechanic is a smart way around the no vision this (wish I had thought of it).  I, like some others, was unable to clear the void.  I threw my rock and it hit something that looks like a stalagmite but I was unable to land there without dying.  I assume I'm supposed to do something with that bucket?

Developer

ah shoot that level is so dumb.  I answered in a earlier reply.  Wall jumping makes you move faster than running, so if you walk jump off the cliff you're standing on you can get enough momentum to cross the void.  Also if you're still having trouble pageup skips the current level.

Also thanks for reviewing my game!!

ah okay, lemme give it one more shot

So now I've renamed the game to Lily Lightbulb because Leap of Faith was already taken.

Developer

idk if y'all can tell but I love love love it when I get a review on my games!  I don't know why but it just means the world to me!  Thanks you guys!  Thank you!

Very cool idea. The mechanics are tight and feel good. And this is a game where the artwork is central to the core idea. I liked it quite a bit.

Developer

OH MY GOSH THANK YOU SO MUCH!  I was worrried no one else was going to review this game!  Thanks!  Last jam people really liked the artwork so this jam I decided to take it up a notch and provide more emphasis to it!

It must have been frustrating spending time on the artwork you barely see! It looks great. Even when you can't see anything, the artwork still shines.

But I'm stuck on the third level! How do I clear that void?

I think maybe it'd work better if you only see the level after completing it? I did start memorising the level after dying rather than using the rocks. The rocks are a fantastic feature though, love it.

My only problem would be: Is seeing the game really a mechanic of a platformer? I guess the results are the same though - you've removed a core component and made it in to something interesting.

Really cool, i want to play more!

I wanted to put this tutorial ingame but I guess here will have to do.

wall jumping gives you more horizontal velocity than running.

wall jump off the cliff you're standing on and use that momentum to wall jump up the house on the other side.  Thanks.

Thanks for rating the submission mate!  You're amazing!  I am SO stressed out right now because of my recent mistakes (IE. deleted my submission on accident and whatnot) so thanks for giving me some positive construcitve feedback!  I'll be sure to check out your submission when I have time!  Stay awesome!  God bless
