It look really cool! The most important thing from game jams is to have fun and learn. Hope you succeeded in those!!! From my experience every year I grow from the global game jam :)

Thanks! This was in fact our first game jam ever. And we definitely learned a lot from this experience. We hope to try this again next year.

It sounds like a cool concept, and the art is beautiful!! Unfortunate that the time ran out, but it looks like a really great start!

The sprites and overall feel look amazing! Don't give up and not any one of the games is finished in 48 hours ;)

Thank you! We both still learned a lot from this experience and we cant wait to try it again next year. I also love how your game turned out especially the pixel art.

*hug* Cool that you still uploaded it, too bad it didn't work out — I can imagine chess takes quite a while to replicate from scratch! The sprites look amazing though, did you do those yourselves? The idea also sounds cool, so who knows you can make a spiritual successor to this one day :)

Thanks for the compliment. i did make all the art from scratch and im really happy how they turned out. We also like the concept of a chess rougelike and are propably going to try to make an actual game with that idea.
