The shrooms falling was a cool twist.  And the visuals felt like they could definitely be an Atari classic, but in modern times.  Aesthetic was spot on.

The one suggestion would be implementing a lives system.  It was a little rough having a one hit kill.  Just personal preference, of course.  I also noticed a subtle issue with the centipede's movement.  But with how much you have to focus on the shrooms, I think it was masked well.

Those two asides, I think you did a good job with this.  Nice work!

I liked the mushrooms becoming missiles idea! It adds to the risk reward feeling! Great idea. I was playing with my brother and it was a shame that once one person died they were out the rest of the time. (unless I missed the respawn) 

Very interesting take with the mushrooms and bullet hell style gameplay. I feel like only having 1hp was a little harsh, and I missed the small vertical movement that the original had. I think this idea would work really well as a singleplayer game, using your mouse to aim and with the ability to jump! Great concept nonetheless

really fun version of Centipede! loved how it was sort of a bullet hell when shooting too many mushrooms! also, i didn't have anyone to play with so i just sorta put player two in the corner and switched to them when i died so i had two lives lol
