How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
A horror game in the gameboy resolution and color pallet, where you have to solve the maze without interacting with the creatures.

That was extremely scary and the sound effects especially made me shiver :>
Maze was too hard for me, but the first cutscene was perfect for the game
The 3d ness of squares didn't feel like a Gameboy as much to me, would be cool (and less confusing for solving the maze) if the squares matched the direction/angle of the wall they are on
Definitely the scariest game I've played so far...

Very cool! The end of the first hallway was my favourite. Even the first room was hard for me, so I don’t think I’ll be able to make it through chapter 1.

My mind was blown when i thought my game was bugged and then I turned the camera with x. Fantastic intro to the game. First chapter is a different story though, as I spent well over 30 minutes trying to find the exit to no avail. If there were unique landmarks at different places around the level it would have most likely been much better, instead of just aimlessly walking around the level hoping to find the exit. I gave up without completing it.

The lack of much sound or music in the main gameplay actually makes the game better, and really brings out that eerie feeling.

Walking around the map i could tell that the game is 3d, not a fake 3d that is actually 2d game that would be on the Gameboy, which slightly lowers the gameboy soul rating for me.

Overall, an amazing game, the first submission I've played that has tried to be scary and succeeded, and incorporates the second theme extremely well.

(Forgive me for my bad English)

The game is visually simple and beautiful, the sound effects are very consistent with the graphics, the gameplay is also cool (if the theme wasn't GameBoy, I imagine it would be more practical on the mouse), the beginning of the game caught me off guard, it was pretty cool, also the cutscenes, however, what really made me stop playing it was the fact that they were extremely large and spacious rooms, I wasn't sure if I was going in the right direction, I believe that if the environment was smaller, the game would be much scarier, maybe I'm stupid, but it took me a long time to understand what was happening. However, considering the idea of the game, my best score was for the interpretation of the second theme.

A great game, just needs a few small tweaks, thanks for the experience. :)

thx for the feedback and are aware of the maze being a bit too big and complex, sorry for the inconvenice. (took me 42 min to solve the maze, even with the knowlege of the layout :Y lol) Glad to score points on interpretation of second theme :) thats the category we mainly focused on trying to satisfy the most :]
