How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
it is spooky, contains spooky things like the reaper, spiders, skeletons, ghosts, etc.
also it adheres to the GBJam's rules for gameboy restrictions regarding the 4 color palette, screen resolution, and number of buttons available; music and sound effects are also made to sound like gameboy sounds

What do I even say for this one??? This is awesome!
Thank you!
That was fun! The art is proficient, the character design is charming, the mechanics are fun, and the soundtrack is cool. I think I made it to the end; I didn't find anything to do after leading the reaper out of the castle.
The sound that plays when hitting enemies is a bit louder than the other sounds; it sometimes peaks the audio above +0.0 dB.
All-in-all, great work!
I love it! I enjoyed every moment exploring the area! The boss is also cool! There was a moment when the game started chugging, I don't know if that's on purpose or just my browser, but it definitely adds tension!
Very cool Zelda-like. Great artwork, sfx and overall execution with a nice core mechanic to solve puzzles.
Great game!
The possession mechanic is really cool. Solving the puzzles by becoming a spider, dropping a skeleton on the button was really satisfying. It's also really in depth that we can use the enemies' abilities when we have them possessed. There's a really solid range of mechanics here, I really wish it could've been used more but it seems you guys were pressed for time. Oh well.
There are some bugs and the end state is unclear, but the game is still very beatable and playable. Nothing fatal, thankfully.
I really like the visuals and the music, they're very well made, and really sell the Zelda vibe. The highlights on certain tiles, the way the walls slope inwards like in ALTTP, all very well crafted.
Cool concept and great art direction! The posession kind of reminds me of the GameCube game Geist, which allowed you to take over most anything to solve the issues you come across.
Thank you! Something like Geist was actually one of the first ideas pitched, though the mechanic ending up bearing more of a resemblance to Mario Odyssey in the end, haha.
The art style and music are great, and the possession mechanic is super cool! I think there's a lot of potential here -- e.g., using the possession mechanic for more elaborate puzzles. Not sure if I fully beat the game, but based on the music I think I did? In any case: nicely done!
Unfortunately we didn't have time for a proper end screen, so yes, it sounds like you did make it to the end, haha. Thank you for playing!
Thought the body swapping puzzle mechanics were very cool, though the boss kicked my ass and I did not know how to fight back because he took my cool hat.
Thanks for checking it out! This was something we should have made clearer in-game - you can't actually beat the boss yourself, the goal is to escape back to the first screen once he starts chasing you.
Ah I started to try and escape, but I think he had already beaten me up too badly at that point to make it all the way.
Either way, I think this is with continuing to flesh out after the jam. It's like a fun mix of old convention and new mechanics.
I really love the art style and the look of the game, but unfortunately don't have Windows, so can't play or fairly rate it :(
Sorry
