This is a good foundation, well done! A couple of ideas would be to add indicators for the survivor and garage and improve the car handling mechanics a bit (I personally found it a bit difficult to drive).
Thanks so much for the feedback! Would you mind elaborating about the car? It feels good to me but I don’t know how it feels to other people. Like what in particular made it feel hard to drive? Thanks again!
When I originally tried this, I used a gamepad, and I remember it felt off and really difficult to control. I attempted this again but was just on mouse and keyboard. It didn't seem as bad but was still very floaty. I think you maybe need more friction on the tires?
thank you for taking the time to reply! That’s really helpful. I think you’re right, the friction could be refined a bit more.
Impressive game concept. You should keep on polishing it because it has potential!
Thank you I’m glad you like it!
Very cool game, and is impresive that only you make the game! Only bad thing is the zombies that aren't zombies hehe.
Love zombie genre, that was a fun little game. I like how even though the zombies aren’t modeled, you can still get the feeling of them chasing thanks to the sounds and mechanics. There’s a lot of stuff there(car tuning for example), well done. One thing, it seem to have nothing to do with the game jam theme.
Thanks! Yes, you are right. I totally ignored the theme. I just wanted to use the game jam structure to help me get a prototype out quickly. I like that this jam doesn't force you to follow the theme. Thanks for the nice feedback!
It's interesting. It felt a bit hard to survive : having to find the survivor without indications is okay, but returning to the garage with no indications or visual clue was maybe a bit harder. Maybe there are a bit too much zombies, at least for the first "round"; so anything like collecting scraps or rescuing was complicated. And the fact that it resets between interaction also.
thanks for checking it out! Yeah there should probably be some better cues for finding the garage. If i continue to develop it, difficulty curve and progression would be definite target areas. Thanks so much for the feedback!
