game idea is nice, but i couldn’t handle the controls .. i wasn’t even able to get over the first obstacle, before the time ran out .. if the controls are how they should be, that game is just not for me :) besides that, graphics look cute and the layout is also good.

would be nice, if you would check out and rate my game and give me some feedback :)

I had some input problem , but the idea is awesome. It made me think of Pac-man. Good Job !

thank you for playing

I like the aesthetics of this game - it reminds me of Donkey Kong and Pacman.

The dimension switching aspect was interesting especially when combined with the point scoring and time-extension mechanics.  It was useful that the dimensions' layouts were consistent, as I would try to plan where enemies would end up going and what platforms would appear. However, having five potential colours right off the bat is somewhat overwhelming, as there would be fewer chances at the game's start to get matching colour switches and enemies on top of having to learn the layouts. Having fewer colours initially and than gradually ramping up the amount of colours as time goes on would benefit new players as they learn the layouts, and have more opportunities to gain points.

However, the horizontal movement felt too fast. There was also a tendency for the horizontal movement to not work, especially after switching. The combination of this and the fast horizontal speed makes it frustrating to move around, as the controls felt inconsistent. The jumping controls felt ok.

Overall, I like the aesthetic and how the game mechanics mesh together well.

A colourful and hectic arcade game with twitchy controls.

Thank you for Playing and the feedback! I like the idea about gradually increasing the number of dimensions. And I know the player sometimes got stuck, but I hadn't time to fix it before the end of the jam :/

There were many moments when my input wasn't registered correctly. Like, I'd press Right but not head Right. Unfortunately, this greatly undermines the experience. I don't run this jam, but if you ask me based on what I've read in the rules, I think it would be okay to hotfix it.

That aside, I liked the action puzzle aspect of zipping between dimensions to bonk these fools. It's a nice entry, thanks for the game.

The idea is clever and I like how quick and simple it is to jump in and play. At first I felt the timer was too short but then I realized you just have to keep moving and swapping. Collisions seemed a little buggy sometimes but overall fun game!

Good concept! But sometimes I got stuck and I don't know why.

Good job I liked the puzzle very much :D.

Developer

thank you

This is a really cool concept! The timer felt a bit short and sometimes the dimension switches were out of reach, so I died a lot. It was fun though!

Developer

The timer was short to force dimension changes, but might have been too short :). It should be possible that at least 2 of the dimension switchers should be reachable in all dimensions, some of them just require a specific jump:)

Nice game but the controls feel a bit off.

Developer

Yeah, I tried to make them better, but the player often got stuck where it shouldn't be stuck for some reason

This is a nice concept. I enjoyed playing it. I got stuck in a few places and it seems you often have to change colors because you are low on time. Would love to see this with more work than a game jam allows for.

Developer

Thank You, glad you liked it :)

Life in two four dimensions! I made it to 120 points once I got the hang of it. There's something very nostalgic about the enemies that I can't explain.

For some reason yellow enemies were instantly disappearing the moment they spawned in. It's also possible for enemies to spawn in right on top of you which can be a bit frustrating.

Developer(+1)

Glad you Liked it! I think what you are experiencing with the yellow enemies are a result of me dealing with them getting stuck in the platforms. I had to make a quick fix for the enemies, so they wouldn't get stuck, so they just destroy themselves if a collider in the middle of them collides. It was kind of buggy:).

The enemy spawning was also not perfect, I tried to make them spawn the same place in all the levels, since this was easier to then design levels around.

Thank you for the feedback!!

You're very welcome! Last second changes, and their bugs, are definitely a side effect of game jams! :D
