Nice game.
Great little loop you managed to put together, definitely had me hooked to get all the gifts/upgrades :D Reminds me of some of the mining idle games with the simple actual gameplay, but the upgrades and "money goes up faster and faster" :P
Very cute "you win" screen :)
Oh what a simple fun game. I like how you gave it upgrades to make it different for each time you went into the mine. Was quite fun and everytime I saw santa christmas jingles came to me lol. Just curious what did the ladder do. I couldn't figure out what they did exactly.
Great to hear!
For the ladder upgrade: if you move upwards in the mine, you have to place a ladder under you so you have something to stand on and don't just float in the air. Without the ladder upgrade, whenever you place a ladder it takes 1 day extra day in addition to the normal time for moving and mining the square if needed. With the upgrade bought, placing ladders is free (doesn't take any additional time).
It's not a very useful upgrade, since moving upwards is rarely the best action to take. E.g. if you're trying to beat the hard challenge mode, you probably never want to move up.
I love this type of game too. Ty!
Thats a great game! It`s a bit counterintuitive, that you can just hold a key, but also a kindo new concept, which is allways a plus in my opinion. Also it was very clear from the start, what i had to do and that speaks for itself. well done :)
Great one, its well done and has beginning and end, thats very good achievement
I like the idea. But in the web version I cannot see any rocks or iron.
Oh, that's unfortunate! It looks like only a few images are loading, and neither the tileset nor the font. What OS and browser are you using?
I used Firefox on the newest Mac OS :3
Great work!
I yearn for the mines, this was surprisingly fun haha
Wish there was mouse support for the shop, and last items seemed like hotkeys were wrong. Why a christmas theme though?
Yeah we were planning to add mouse support, but just didn't have the time so deprioritized it :/
The theme/story reason is that in the miner role you move vertically and gather valuables, and in the other half you move horizontally and give things away. (If we had a lot more time, the horizontal section would have some separate interactive gameplay as well, and might then have had a different story to match that gameplay.)
