Since there is no web version and only Windows for download I grabbed the project from github and built my own. Interestingly this one starts in windowed mode and has no option for fullscreen.
I really love all the hand-drawn sprites!
At first I didn't get that the punch was an action and not an upgrade :D
At about 100 Mighty Helpers I had to spam the Punch button quite a bit to spend all those gold coming in. At about 500 I couldn't even hardly make any dent into it anymore... :)
Really neat idea for a game. I think this is a great start. The art could look a lot better, but I really respect your effort. You did better than I could :D
Nice little clicker game. Congrats on your submission. It would be great to have more progression and see more numbers rise than just your money. But it's a great start. And very creative monsters.
Hello!
Thank you for playing my game! I put all my artistic skills to draw these monsters. : D.
The monsters continue to lose HP, even if the player stopped clicking, because the first and second updates work as auto-clickers, but with various damage and third are a simple instant kill.
Unfortunately, I did not have time to add a tooltip to the buttons of upgrades. This is the second project for gamejam, the first one had to be postponed due to the realization that I did not have enough time.
That's actually a pretty standard mechanic for these kind of games. At first you click manually and when you accumulated enough ressources you buy upgrades that might increase your clicks' power or are actively clicking, so at some point it becomes more of a managerial type of gameplay - which is where the "idle" aspect of an "Idle Game" sets in. Eventually it will run in the background and once in a while you check up on it and invest into further upgrades to speed up the scoring (which will get eaten up by higher health of higher level opponents and higher cost for higher level upgrades, but it's a balancing act after all...)
I'm a huge fan of clicker games and love how you incorporated it with the theme, it's very fun. Nice work :D
Hi, I noticed your submission is missing source folders. Your source is everything someone needs to download your game, open it in the game engine, and hit Play to play the game. In your case, your source is missing the Assets, Packages, and ProjectSettings folders. Here is an example of what your source should look like: https://github.com/icepol/DeathIsOnlyTheBeginning
