Really well done! I absoultely loved the art-style and perspective for a "2D" game. It felt really good sliding forward and back on the Y axis. The puzzles were good fun and the jumping felt surprisingly smooth for the awesomely styalised character. I also really enjoyed the way you delivered the story. It was left up in the air but I could really feel the emotional intent; all high-lighted by a ponient soundtrack. Fantastic Work! :-D

Great game. And then you put the respawns just before you fail. makes it so much nicer to play than when you have to play a level all over. Thanks a lot for the game.
Wow! Despite the theme I really didn't expect this twist! Great meaning on this game! Unfortunately I couldn't pass the puzzles myself because the jump was short on my end. The same think happened on my game after build so I guess it's a Unity thing
I'm sorry that happened to you. I'll try to look into this.
Could you give me some more details or compare with my gameplay jump? gameplay vide
Sure! When comparing with the wall behind the player I can jump up to 3 dots about my head. I had no problem with the first platforms but on the second part of the game I fall between them. This doesn't seem like a bug but more like an inconsistency with the physics on different machines. Same thing happened to me (I see the difference between the editor and the WebGL build) so If you find a solution it would be great if you could share!
Wow, that was really good! I loved the story, and the dark theme of the game after the death of our friend was really cool. I also really liked the mix of 2d pixel art in a 3d game. The music and sounds were great too. Honestly, I don't really have much negative to say about it lol. The platforming was a bit difficult, and the game is a bit short. If you had more time though, I'm sure both of those could've been addressed. Good job! :)
Nice approach to the theme! Loved it!
Liked the visuals and the music! Really good game!!
I enjoyed this - I did get a little frustrated with some of the precision of the jumps. The camera also felt a little twitchy when I was getting to the edge of the bounds. The color shift was suitably dramatic!
I love the voxel-type art and the platforming/puzzles. Though my favourite and most bitter-sweet part was meeting and losing my friend all in a short little experience. Surprising little twist.
Very nice work!
I liked the old-school aesthetics. Made me feel like I'm playing an Atari game :D
The last puzzle was kinda confusing to me. But I figured it out in the end!
I'm glad you liked it.
Yeah the last puzzle I needed a few more tests with it. As it is now, the player loses sight of the path to continue while pressing the switches. Also I didn't have the time to explore the mechaninc to call for help to the friend, where jumping makes the friend wait in place, so players might not get the "ask for help" part of the puzzle.
Fun entry! Congrats on your very first game jam!
Even though simple, I really liked the graphics. The 3d environment side scroller was a nice change of pace from other submissions so far. The controls were also very responsive, great job!
At some point I got stuck however, I'm not sure if I missed anything or whether the game was bugged (I kept getting an element error popping up), but unfortunately I was unable to figure it out :(
Thanks for your submission and good luck in future jams!
Love the visuals. On the last puzzle, it kept saying Invalid element on my screen. Not sure if that was meant to happen. Figured it out though, and beat the game :) It was nice! Thanks for posting.
Finally played it, Loved it, kind of lost at the end with what switch I missed out, was in front of me all along. Really great little game about loss, my kid was with me (I say kid but he is 17th) and he liked the journey, he said it like with me, reminds me of Journey. Which is my dev laptops wallpaper.
Thanks a lot for all the effort on playing my game. I'm really glad you and your grown kid liked the game.
Also thank you for the feedback. I really think the last puzzle needed a few more iterations to get right. The switch in the forwardground isn't that easy to spot at first glance. Another issue in this puzzle is that the player loses sight of the gate to continue while pressing the switches so it's possible to solve it and not realize the puzzle is solved. And one of my friends noticed it was possible to jump over the gates in the maze. Well, lessons learned.
