Very nice art and the dialogues are really funny!
The ability to move while keeping a button pressed would be great, but other than that, it's a nice little game!
I wasn't able to progress past exploring the map. I went through your source code and found that Home is bound to ESC and Inventory is bound to E, neither of these keys did anything for me. Maybe you had to unlock them by completing some task? If that is the case I could not find it for the life of me. This is probably a me problem though given everyone else here could play. Oh well. I loved the art style and music, incredibly charming game, dialogue was cute and very nostalgic. nice job :)
hey! You can interact with things by bumping into them (: as for inventory and home buttons, they are mapped but not used in the game. Pleasure!
Super fun little game!
Good music, art, also fun dialogues. I think the movement could have been better if you didn't move one block at a time.
hey! Yes youre probably right (: it started off as a pokemon-style walk (with the 4 directions) but switched it to a traditional roguelike style mainly due to being the sole artist and programmer on the game. Definitely something that could have been better. Thank you!
Nice art, music and level design. Really brought me back to those days when games used to be like this. Also the dialogues were fun to read, kudos to whoever did the script :D
Not sure all the quest solutions made sense, but I liked it! Very nice artwork and sound design. I will say I would prefer a way to interact that isn't based on bumping into things, because I ended up accidentally talking to people quite a lot.
Hey thanks for the feedback! Some quests were made barely a hour before the deadline. I agree that those quests feel odd (I'm thinking of the Crackers one in particular). The joys of game jams!
I was actually going to say something about that, but I'm glad you noted it! The game was really charming!
