Awesome idea, really enjoyed the mechanic and that different enemies have different types of shots and you get the same kind, when you grab them. Unfortunately the game glitched some times, resulting in me not being able to discard the grappled enemy. I'm not sure, but I think it had something to do with catching two enemies at the same time? After discarding one of them the game thinks you don't have one, but you are still running with the enemy sprite and you can't let it go...

Thanks for trying the game, glad you enjoyed it!

Also, thanks you for providing feedback as well. It is a known issue that I found after doing some playtest on itch post-submission :). Need a smarter hook to make sure it doesn't grab 2 enemies, also a smarter player that makes sure that a controlled enemy is launchable.

Grapple hooks make every game better. You nailed the implementation of a grapple hook for this theme. Would love to see a polished version of this because you clearly had more ideas for this game.

Glad you enjoyed the hook and thanks for trying the game out!

I had so many ideas around making the hook better that I forgot that there is still a game that needs to be made to play :).

I put up the development time-lapse on youtube (link is in the game's description) if you're interested.

The controls feel nice. Really enjoyed shooting the enemies with their bullet.

Thanks for playing the game. Glad you enjoyed this mess that i made since I was afraid people would be confused about the gameplay.

Honestly, you killed it with this theme and gameplay.  The music you chose was simply beautiful for this type of game style and the idea you came up with behind this was really innovative and fun. Even if this isn't fully polished and bug free, this was a pretty awesome game to play. Nice work on this!

Thank you for trying out the game and for the feedback! Glad you liked it!

It was basically a race to get the main mechanic done and i'm glad it worked out to some degree so everyone can experience it.
