  • I like the creative concept, but it's held back a little by the execution. Something about the arc you throw apples with is a little off feeling. I wish maybe I could hold the button to throw them harder or something. Also, when the camera pans over for you to get more apples letting you not see the front yard, it makes the guy in the tree very unfair to avoid. I basically ended up dying because I would leave when he wasn't there, then come back and he's suddenly there hitting me before I have time to even see him. Overall though, solid entry, and I think with a few minor tweaks it could be a fun and funny little experience
  • I like the pun of the premise. It took me a while to understand I could actually move, since I spawn on the edge and can move left anymore and how the camera is positioned it feels like I can't go right, would've been nice to have a hint when I run out of apples. Alos I wish I could go back to pick up appleas as soon as I'm missing one, cause I would sometimes have an opening where I have some times to pick up apples, but I couldn't. Seems like I was forced to throw all my apples before I can "reload".

I like the minimalist style. The difficulty level ramps up too fast. Therefore it is risk the player gives up too soon . Would be fun with a bigger house with many floors, and perhaps other types of fruit :)

Developer

Initial idea was that you need to run further and further to restock apples but I dropped the idea as it took away focus on throwing apples at the doctors. But  if I should improve the game I might have a better house with a basement etc. perhaps something to do between waves like building palisades out of furniture

Very creative take on the theme and the hand drawn art is good the only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't restock my apples whenever I wanted.

Developer

The characters are close to how I draw comics in real :-)
The restocking was a huge challenge to balance. I tried that the player could restock when ever they wanted, as it would also give an element of strategy to it, but in the end I decided for this solution because I did not have time to get the balance to work

Ok, I hope you balance out the game after the jam!

I think the art is charming. I wish I could restock apples whenever I wanted rather than when I ran out. Fantastic take on the theme.

Cute little game. The aiming is a bit weird because you have to aim really high to get it to go any farther than right in front of you. And once you run in th ehouse you really can't go back outside. Those doctors really want to get you I guess. Cute though. Hope you're feeling better.

Thanks for feedback.
The trick to getting out of the house again is to hit their syringes with an apple that gets thrown out of the way and then hit the doctors in the tree after... overall it was difficult to ballance the difficulty

Funny little game. I love the style. Honestly I just wish it was a little more clear on like the trajectory of the apple or like a power bar or something. But that's really hard. Overall good job from me
