I like the food concept. You have to get enough food to survive, but you also need food to get more lives.

This so far has been my favorite ive played this year :D I liked every aspect of it.  I def did try to play to the beat too.  I think the system of readily available hp but you have to grow and defend it is really novel and interesting. Also the enemies different behaviors forcing you to adapt was nice.  That said, DEF was by and far the best upgrade, I just tanked through most stuff with minimal points in attack.  I also discovered on my first loop after the boss that you can cheese the xp (pun intended) by filling the entire map with rats and letting the grow as much as possible.  Was gaining 4-5 levels every floor and usually still had 200 food so i coulda done even more.   I think some warnings might be nice for low hp/low food too cause i was getting into the rhythm and not wanting to slow down lol

Thank you very much for playing and for the nice words :D I'm glad you enjoyed my game. Yeah, the balancing with the upgrades isn't perfect. The warnings are nice ideas, but I didn't have enough time left for them, so maybe in a patch :)

Also nice pun ;)

I really enjoyed this game, and especially liked it's aesthetics.

I think the mechanics of this game are super important to understand, and I just had to guess at them for a while. the controls are right on the screen which is nice, but an in-game tutorial about moving, optimizing, extra exp for the most rats, upgrades, when damage happens, do you get extra damage etc.

I'm not exactly feeling the fast-paced-ness with the current turn based system. especially when sometimes I like my current position, and don't want to move, and just sit waiting.

I like the choice of music, and i think if you were forced to move along with the beat of the music, it would be much more frantic/exciting.

I'm not sure if the sound effects match the music and the rest of the game.

Thank you for playing and for the feedback :)

I'm quite happy to hear that you like the aesthetics since it's normally one of my weaknesses.

Yeah, the tutorial could need some work, but it is intended that some things (like optimizing and such) should be discovered by the player.

I can see where you come from with the fast-paced-ness, but I didn't know a better way to describe it since it is not classical turn-based or real-time. You don't have to wait if you don't want to move since you can rotate on the spot. A dedicated skip option might be more obvious ^^

Thanks again for the suggestions :)
