I had a nice experience with this game! Nice flow between narrative and gameplay! It was interesting having to roll for dialogue choices.

I would have liked to have some more influence on the choices themselves to the point they'd be somewhat random, but not truly random. I like the skill point system, but it feels like I was holding out to get enough skill points to do the options I really wanted. Perhaps a way of loading the dice for better chances at some values. I think there's a bunch of interesting ways to design around a system of influencing random numbers to progress dialogue.

The little DDR segment was really cool too! I think a quick way to make it easier would be giving a each direction a separate color. And also adding a bit more juice when an arrow is successfully "played".

Real nice game and unique design! Great Job!

Really cuuuute. Some polishing is needed in places, like with the graphics - I walked under the snail for example, and the main character sprite appeared underneath the snail's, when it should have been on top to facilitate the illusion I was walking in front of it.

I think the dice game is a really neat idea and well thought out, but it took me until part way through the fight with Nevaeh to grasp what I was doing and play more strategically  - could benefit from a bit more explanation somewhere. Main gripe is that "shaking the dice" added a confusing element, because I  wasn't sure (still not totally sure) if it really made any difference if I hit the arrows in time or not. Additionally, when "shaking the dice" ends you just sort of sit there and need to press "z" to progress. This felt unnecessary and clunky, I eventually got used to it, but I think it would be better if it just progressed forward on its own.

Overall I really enjoyed this! I feel like you have something here, a lot of good material that, with a bit of polish, would be a really awesome game.

Ahhhh I'm so glad! Our artist is amazing! That's a very good observation btw, my partner programmer/musician fixed that so hopefully we'll push an update soon! Thanks for playing! Means so much :D

Very good art for something in two weeks, and a good idea. However, I had a bit of an issue with the way the dice rolls are played.

Everything went pretty much ok with the snail, though I wish there was a way to skip that animation after you make a choice (with those arrows or something). When I got to the cultist, I failed a few choices and then I had a choice that would be activated with dice 1-3, since 4-6 was locked as I failed it. However, the white dice (the dice I can get in a roll) were 4-6, this would mean I had to roll three times (and wait out those animations) for the dice to reset. This honestly felt more like a chore than something fun, a skip for the animation would be good, or a way to reset a fight at any moment (unless I missed something with the controls while playing)?

Good job! :)

Thank you so much for the feedback! I think this was one of my worries with the nature of it being a dice game. This is definitely something I'm going to try to understand further for future ideas and projects. Thanks for playing, I'm so honored T.T!

Character portraits are excellent here! I also love the DDR-style dice shaking minigame. The music is super good. Definitely picking up some Undertale influence.

Some feedback- It was a little frustrating to have a game based on RNG and to get locked out certain more interesting dialogue options, I felt like I was being railroaded into a certain dialogue path without any say in the matter because of previous dice rolls. Not sure how to fix that, given the nature of the game. I also think it would look nice if the font was less generic- there's a lot of great art here, and for a game which is so dialogue heavy a more unique font could really stand out.

Overall, pretty cool submission. Nice job!

Yes! This was something I was worried about with RNG aspect of it, which I tried to compensate for with the lucky points/spending. Thank you so much for the feedback, the info helps when debating future ideas! So happy you got to try it!
