Now this is definitely something familiar yet different. Racing game, but with chairs! Exactly as it says in the title.
Plays good, looks good, good music to go along, even has local MP!
Great work, keep it up!

If you have competed before, how has your game changed?
It got a big content update with a new track, new chairs, a new set character, new haha mechanics and more!

My daughter and I played this game on stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1928231849?t=00h51m37s
I like the improvements made to this game, the different seasons, maps and chairs add replayability to the game. The restaurant, pool, and tv were really nice touches as well. The restaurant didn't work for us in multi-player, but the pool did and that was really fun to do.
The player selection with 2 players was a bit odd, I couldn't figure out how to select my player (2nd player) until you told us how to do it on stream. Once the game started, the controls were great though.
The X-mas version we played was fun too. There was that black creature thing that would push us forward, and some black cloud somewhere in the track that blocked our vision. It's a pity we couldn't hear the music (due to our streaming setup).
Overall, lots of fun!
Thank you very much for playing!
It was much fun to watch you two - and helped a lot to hunt down remaining bugs ;)
Speaking of which: The latest version 0.2.0.5b has all found bugs (and more!) fixed, e.g. there won't be a game over screen anymore if one of the players runs out of energy, so you two can finish the race together :)
I wasn't able to test this out with multiplayer, but the single player seemed pretty solid.
I'm not sure what all of the power-ups do. The cans give you energy, but I wasn't sure if I really needed energy. I had no idea what the wheels do, I thought maybe repairs? But, after being hit by several cars and taking no damage I guess that isn't the case. The shoes give me a speed boost and I understood that.
There is a lot of clutter in the levels, which I think is fine if the camera zooms out a bit.. But it definitely made it difficult to feel like I was reaching any considerable speed.
I think the art is really good, and reminds me of Zombies Ate Our Neighbors. Lots of detail in the environments and subtle touches on the chairs! The music is also a good pick.
I did have some issues with my controller not registering for selecting characters, and a few menu selection choices. Cool concept! I used to have chair races in a warehouse, so this is certainly a real thing that people would do.
Thank you so much for playing and leaving this review! ๐
I'm happy that you like the overall style ๐
I'm trying to answer your questions now ๐
The "Wheel Shield'" power up protects you from the carpets' & puddles' effects.
The energy, shown by the blue energy bar at the bottom, is like your stamina that depletes when you move. It doesn't deplete fast on easy difficulty but has more influence on normal and hard difficulty modes! You get a slow down when it's down to 0 until you can refill it.
There will be more power ups soon which you then can activate through another button!
So, what's with getting off the chairs? I have added some intractable objects across the tracks, like the pool you can swim in, the fast food restaurant where you can order food or the couch where you can accompany a sad person... You can use them when getting off the chair and most will give you back energy. One of the upcoming power ups can throw you or your opponents respectively off the chair, too... I'll add more reasons to get off the chair in future updates.
I know that there are still some UI bugs with controllers and will target them with the next updates ๐
Thx again!
