I didn't have someone to play with so take my feedback with a grain of salt. I like the concept and ball physics a lot! Seems like it could have a lot of depth competitively. My feedback is that I thought the controls (at least on keyboard) could use some work- pressing f to attack makes it so it's hard to also press d at the same time. Also I'd maybe make the strong attack a bit quicker because I found it hard to time a hit on a moving ball. Overall good job!

yeah I've been trying to think of a good layout for controls. Although you can somewhat move while attacking I have been considering removing that which would make it not so bad to sacrifice being able to push d and f at the same time. 

Appreciate the feedback though. I do plan to add some single player games so if you want feel free to follow for the updates.

Hello! I was one of the streamers who took part in Feedback Quest, and I'm here to leave some comments I had while playing.

... or at least, I would say that if I did play. I will confess, I didn't have someone to play with and you don't have an AI opponent. If you put this in the next Feedback Quest, I do hope you'll try to include an AI opponent so everyone can test it out.

Well I appreciate you checking it out. I don't have plans for AI since I'm bad at making it but I do plan on adding a few single player game modes as well as a steam release which will allow for remote play making it easy to play with friends online.

The concept is pretty interesting! I tried it by myself, but I like that it's a cross between a fighting game, and a soccer game. Having a variety of actions and smoother controls could be great!

Are you saying I need more variation in the actions? What type of variety are you imagining? 

I definitely will fix the button layout, and will find a way to make controls customizable for better controls.

I was thinking of combo attacks like in Street Fighter and things like that. That would add flavor to different characters, and have a variety of actions to do too.

This game is rather hard to try as I have no friend close by to test it with 😕 The graphics are great though! Seems like a nice couch coop game.

Couch co-op is the goal for this game but I will be adding in a single player game mode or 2 in the future.

They are but unfortunately that also makes it harder to get attention for these games. Im hoping the single player will widen the audience enough to help with that.

This game is extremely fun! there is only one minor gripe i have with this game and that is I believe you are using GetInput rather than GetInputRaw, witch results in slightly less tight feeling in the controls.  I love how the ball stops all horizontal movement when you hit it vertically.  i also got really enamored with the fact that the player can touch the fire particles. Great job, this game is amazing

I'm actually using Unity's newer input system which is all event and action based but could you give more details on what controls don't feel as tight as they could be?

Really glad you enjoyed it though and are appreciative of the smaller touches I added in like the fire.  I'm hoping to add more elements like that as small background details that add to the fun. There was actually a lot of thought in the ball movement as well. I was trying to have things make sense but allow for a lot of control over the ball to allow for defensive tactics and set ups.

The player's horizontal movement feels floaty almost as if there is no friction holding you to the floor... it just feels out of place with how tight the rest of the game feels!  And the other thing is that players can collide with each other which stopped me from scoring goals at least twice. but I love your game and it will most definitely be a main feature at all my future LAN parties!

I'll look into that and see if I can make it feel less floaty. As for players colliding with each other I did leave that as a way for players to block each other, you can actually dodge through other players, but I can see how this may not be needed or rather annoying. 

This is exactly why I wanted to make this game. Glad you found it so fun. It is just me working on it as of now so progress may be slow but feel free to follow me for updates on the game.

heck yeah will do
