This game is great! Outside of a small issue (when the spirit block is placed next to 2 groups it seems to choose a random one to clear), this game is incredibly fun and I am addicted to it!!

It's not random, it actually has a priority, which is described in the readme file and on the store page - highest priority is the bottom, next highest is the side (toward the center), then the other side, then the block above. I wanted to try having it prioritize bigger groups first but I didn't have time!

I just divided the title logo into interlaced parts and used Construct's built-in wave effect on both of them - and I did the outline/shadow separately from the rest of the logo so I could keep a bit of the wave going. My goal was to make it look like a classic retro console scanline-manipulating effect and I think I nailed it!
This game's kind of absurd: beautiful in its presentation, an original twist on one of the the genre's most beloved games, great and informative presentation that presents great information to the player without getting in the way. I really enjoyed playing the arcade mode and even completed a few rounds against the computer on the highest settings to enjoy further.
The directionality of the clears can be a little confusing, especially with the wild piece, which might land touching multiple potential clears. I appreciate that clearing only one group is one of the ways the game distinguishes itself against BBA and Puzzle Fighter, but clearing all of the groups with the wild piece would probably make that piece in particular feel more powerful and consistent at the same time.
Thank you!! Making the energy pieces prioritize larger groups is an idea I had to try experimenting with, but I just didn't have time to futz around with the main mechanics after I had them feeling good enough. I bet if I made that change, the wildcard piece would feel more useful too.
Super polished and fun game with an amazing presentation!
The flame mechanic is great, storing flames to set up combos and watching the chain reactions was super satisfying.
The way the flames can skip blocks was a bit unintuitive tough, maybe you can add a small tutorial for that. Otherwise the game was easy to get into.
