Nice, loved the southpark character, lol.

I like the south park-esque character design! The game play mechanics worked decent for the most part item collection felt a little broken. (Needed to click off in random spots sometimes to collect the item) The only thing that would have been nice to see is some sort of end state or goal to achieve like a timer . That's just a an opinion though.

Thx, it s a good suggestion 😁, tbh, I was thinking about putting a high score, but didn't have time to code it.
Btw you can click with RMB on resource from a distance 😉

I think the perspective/viewing angle works well. You can see a good amount of your surroundings which was helpful.

I love survival games! Interesting idea though I like the balance of "fighting" off the penguins to survive. Also do you actually hate penguins? 🕵️‍♀️

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Héhé thx 😉 nope, i do not actually have any occasion to befriend with penguins, so i cant tell much on my feelings about these guys 😅

Congratulations on the scope of this project! I think the gameplay loop was quite engaging as you gave us a fairly clear motive.
Not sure why you didn't opt for keyboard inputs to control the character; collecting resources with mouse felt a bit janky.

Developer

Thanks ! I opted for full mouse control because of the QWERTY / AZERTY problems. But it ll be  surely more convenient with keyboard / gamepad support. Good suggestion, i ll remember it  👍

This game has potential, it just mis a reason why you would keep yourself from freezing to death, other then you lost the game. Something like goal.

Developer

You are right, after uploaded, I was thinking about a dashboard (about how many days you survive), by watching the others games.
Thx !

I didn't expect to see a survival game in a gamejam, since they need a lot of mechanics to make a good game. In this one the core mechanic of collecting and crafting was done but the lack of survival items and hazards made the game less powerful (you probably didn't have the time to add much). Other than that I liked the art but I think the pov of the isometric camera could have been a little higher. But hey this is a jam(for your first jam this is impressive) and good job for your daring approach!

Developer

Yeah, it was ambitious, and i reduce greatly the content to make it on time. Yes, its the first one i completed. Thank you 🥰
