A plant vs zombie style tower defense game??? Already a fan of it lmao.

More seriously, it's really fun i think, satisfying progression and great way to implement it by growing your plant and trying to position things correctly. A bit short i would say, tho some people would find it maybe too repetitive without other ennemies. Also love the artstyle.

Solid entry for a game in 3 days! Too bad you couldn't do audio, i feel you on this issue lol

My feedback for Out of the Pot:

What your game does well:

The mechanic is unique and interesting. It took me a moment to understand, but the rules are made clear thanks to the helper tab.

There's a bit of a buffer that allows new players to get acclimated to the controls.

Executes the theme 'inside out' well. It does really good with expressing the outside coming from within.

What your game doesn't do well:

The cursor doesn't change when it's over a clickable GameObject. This confused me because I didn't know what to click on, thus unsure of how to initiate attaching a leaf/stem/turret.

There was only one kind of enemy. Once the player figures out how to keep them at bay, or grows their flower to an unstoppable force the gameplay becomes stale.

No audio.

Areas of Opportunity:

In your code, adding an interface that responds to cursor hovering can clear up a lot of confusion for new players and make the game more interactable.

The mechanic has a lot of potential, and you have the foundation of a good tower defense. I think it does separate itself from Plants vs Zombies in its own way. More variety to the enemies and resources and further widen the gap.

Add Audio.

I hope this feedback helps!

I've played anything like this before, good job. I would have like audio though

I really like this game! There were plenty of close calls where my little connecting bits almost ran out of health, and I liked how you could choose to move your plant parts around after placing them, so you could react to the oncoming enemies. The ending was a little anti-climatic, as I thought I was climbing to destroy their hive, but the game just ended sort of abruptly, but it's a jam game, so that's totally understandable. With some music and some unlockable parts/enemy types, this is a super fun game!

I really like this concept but there seems to be no audio, apart from that it delivers and is really nice

Although I would like that when you cut parts you get some sunlight from it

This is addictive. I love my plant. The variety of art on the leaves is such a nice little detail to make the art feel polished. While some of the other aspects could use a bit more polish, this is a really nice submission to have made in such a short time!

Thank you so much, it's great to see people enjoy the game even with such bare-bone gameplay. It lets me know I've got a solid base to work on and motivates me to make it better, so thank you again!
