Congrats on starting and completing a game/game jam as that's the hardest part and I think it was cute and great that your daughter to help you out with the graphics. In my mind I think the ship looks like ice and the enemies look like the are on fire which quickly tells me "Fire bad, me ice will melt" which is a great to convey information without saying anything. Wish you had the time to add some fun sound to compliment the artwork.

Funny twist on the theme :) The art is nice and the gameplay is fun although a bit simple. Audio would be an upgrade for this game as well. Overall great submission :D

Nice use of the theme, and I always like top down shooters. The increasing speed was a nice touch, although the parallax background got a little disorientating at high speeds, but that might just be a disadvantage of space travel. Good game!

Bro Ken still cracks me up! I really like how the game keeps going faster, the background really helps contribute to the feeling of speed. It felt like I was going really fast before I did. Also, great work with the art! I zoomed in to look and those fire ships were particularly awesome!

Fun little game. Missing some music and sounds.

Fun game. Although the background was actually a bit harsh on the eyes when things got moving really fast. Add a touch of music/soundeffects and maybe different types of weapons through out your progress and you got yourself something addicting.

I would love parallax effect for the background so much!
