Here's my live reaction to playing your game

The idea is interesting but the execution made it hard to really see it especially because the resource don't feel like they are balance in the player's favor which made it almost impossible for me to win since I pretty much ran out energy and had little to no way to get it back. A way to solve this could be to let me convert my hand into energy. Meaning, I could discard the cards I have to get a certain amount of energy back for example.

Starting a new game and immediately seeing I had a card in my hand which read "win the game" really got me hooked right from the start! As others have said, having used pygame to make this within the timespan of the jam makes this all the more impressive! I would love to see this developed more, perhaps with a few more different cards to add a little extra variety :)

Aside from the fact that I kinda suck, this is so well done. The art is really fantastic as is the card based gameplay. The fact that this is pygame game makes this all the more impressive. Stellar job man.

Thanks! Unfortunately I can't take credit for the art, I'd like to flesh things out a bit more for the web and add a couple different modes to help teach the game...we'll see :)

Nice cardgame :) Audio would improve the game alot. Other than that... Great art, good gameplay and nice card effects. You should look into how you can display your game in the browser for itch.io! Many more people would play and rate your game if you do!

Heh yeah, unfortunate. I'd like to try and port it to web (maybe I'll give Godot a shot!). Thanks for checking it out!

Card games aren't really something I enjoy very much, so for me I didn't find it awfully fun, that is just my opinion on card games in general though. From a game design standpoint it was a great, short game with solid mechanics :D, I thought it was an interesting take on the theme (in terms of gameplay) and what it lacked for me in fun it made up for in solid mechanics, creativeness and quirk. Great work :D

Nice game! It was a fun little card game, and it had some pretty nice graphics too. One thing I'd suggest is more cards which give you energy, since I never had enough- although maybe I'm just bad at the game. Really good work, and it's even more impressive that you used pygame for this - good job!

Thanks! I meant for the accountants to help with that, but I forgot to go back and adjust them after I shortened the game length :)

I have a new appreciation for what it takes to balance a game to have multiple valid strategies.

Thanks for playing!
