Pretty cool :O
Thanks! ˙ ͜ʟ˙
I like the vibe and aesthetic a lot but holding ctrl for faster movement and pressed W while holding ctrl closes a tab, and pressed D tries to bookmark it, so i would just rework the controls to faster moving being on shift. Otherwise rlly good
Yeah this has slipped our mind and is totally valid. in the future well be sure to add an options screen where you can rebind your inputs to your liking. The nature of the beast when doing a jam is that there is not enough time for everything
I would make move automatically and toward the mouse curser instead of pressing buttons but cool always
Really liked the feel of the game, only thing I'm missing is an indicator for what button to press for the crouch, besides that pretty nice.
This game gives off a really cozy feel with the graphics and the mechanics, and I like it quite a bit. I think what might help is to provide more onscreen feedback and indicators for what is going on. Like for example, you can show how much distance the player still has to go in order to reach the exit or if the player for example hits something they aren't supposed to the game can let them know on the screen. Stuff like this usually helps the player and makes them feel rewarded especially if they know they are getting closer to the goal.
I also think it might help to add some music to add to the feel of the game like some lofi instrumental maybe, but this is more of my own personal preference than anything. But overall, this game was pretty neat and I think you did a good job.
Thank you for your feedback! :)
Hi Randgamer,
Thanks for taking the time to write up a review with this much depth. While the distance from the goal would have been nice with a map where there is only 1 goal. Our vision for the jam was that the player can explore the map, hence that 10 minute timer instead of 2minutes or something. And find the fastest path to one of the many goals scattered around the map. If you follow the flags you will find that there are many routes in the map and it is up to the player to find which one is the fastest for them.
On the visual feedback for hitting something you are 100% right and with more time we could have and should have implemented something like that. As for music, our musician dropped out half way trough the jam and somehow the music that we put in did not make it in the final build so yeah. Fair criticism thanks for playing
unique and fun game! i definitely got the feel of the movement after a bit, it was fun to get the player to move fast. i think rotating the board with your movement would really help the feel of this.
Hi, the board does align to the rotation and it also keeps in account the angle of the floor your are on top of :) we tried using more angles to orient around but it looked and felt really awkward.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing our game.
