It's a very addictive game, I liked it. At first it was all tedious and hard, but then I realized the meaning of achievements)

Good concept for an idle game on a computer, and the old-west atmosphere is captured well. I'm always more interested in an action-focused game, but I respect the idea here.
With over 40 billion kilometers behind me, I can proudly say: It was a great journey!
I really like how it escalates and the sounds and surroundings create a nice atmosphere (I love the transition between day and night),
even with negative money ;)
And for all those who are curious: I still haven't reached the last achievement. With the penultimate achievement at 1 billion, I'm not sure if there is a last one at all. Maybe it's meant to say that even if it seems impossible, you have to keep moving forward ;)
Kami! So glad to see you here :)
Thank you so much for playing our game! Seriously, reading your comment put the biggest smile on my face because you getting that achievement means you got really far....really really far... that's incredible.
I really wish I was able to update the file that allows for the game to run in the background, so once I'm able to. I will update it. Same goes for the negative money lol. I was even thinking of adding another shop item, better than the Synthetic Oil lol, one really does get way too much money to not have anything extreme to spend it on.
I will say. The last achievement IS possible. I am not sure if someone will get it, but if they do, I would like for them to tell me about it!
Thank you again Kami, for playing the game to such a level. I'm so thrilled that someone out there went through such lengths to achieve 29/30 achievements. Happy Jamming!
:)
big fan of anything western, and this didn’t disappoint. Lovely art and background work, great job guys.
Watching the horse go at the speed of sound after buying the synthetic oil was the funniest thing I've seen today.
My favorite things about this game were the achievements and the day/night cycle. I also thought the music and pixel art was charming! My only suggestion would be adding some other sort of mechanic, like certain towns holding special items or the visual adding of the shop items (Example, literally giving the horse wings or a monocle) to make the game a little more interesting. But given the time constraints and all, great work and happy jamming!
LOL Yes!
I am really happy with how the animations turned out. I have my artist to thank for that.
Thanks for telling me what you liked, having this kind of feedback is important to hear. I wish we could have had more time to add some customizability to my game, the monocle idea is a great idea HAHA! I knew I had to sacrifice the idea to have a more stable game.
Thank you so much Squibwarp (Nice name btw) Happy Jamming to you too!
:)
I absoloutly love the idea and the art scheme/colors, especially the day/night cycle. The horse looks so cute and pretty!
Here just some tiny suggestions:
- set your pixelart to "Point" Filter, it will not be blurry anymore
- I love the idea of the foreground layer, maybe you could move the layers at different speeds to make the game even more immersive
- animate the wheels, add dust particles
- I personally prefer a destination you get closer to, a goal
you did a great job!
