I like the idea of a MTG-style card bullet hell. This is nicely polished for a 3-day jam, lots of enemy and character variety. My favorite character is definitely the bomber. The pixel art is nice, too! My only suggestion would be a clear way to see the card character health, like health bars or something. Good luck and happy jamming!
This is a really solid jam submission! The controls are very fun. I'm not sure if you made the art and music, but they fit together really nicely and the art style is perfect for this game. The screen shake is cool! A few things I noticed: The music doesn't loop, which is unfortunate. I picked an explosion card and I think it flung me from the arena, because I got softlocked out of the game after that and the restart button didn't seem to work. Other than that, this is a very polished jam submission and I'm pretty impressed, especially since you say it's the wrong version. Good luck, happy jamming!
The difficulty increase was nicely done. I also love the spritework on the ninja, very dynamic!
I think the spikes from LVL 13 on were placed just a little too close to the spawn, so when you'd die if there was any left over movement, you'd run into the spikes and die once or twice more. Besides that, this was very fun! I was determined despite doing pretty terrible. Best of luck!
This was really cool! I liked the concept a lot, and the interactions with the UFO were fun. My only critique is that the beeping noise gets loud and jarring, I at first thought I was doing something wrong/taking damage at the start there! But that's probably just a me thing. Besides that, the visuals, music, gameplay were so cool and on theme. :) Best of luck in the voting!
Thanks so much for the feedback!! I appreciate your kindness about the art :)
Yes, it’s certainly buggy but I do believe the idea has some potential even if not executed properly. I hope to make a finished version of the game after finishing my programming classes - but for now, I appreciate the feedback and the opportunity I had to work on my own :D
