Very interesting concept. It feels like walking in a non-euclidean space, it's a maze shaped in the form of dividing paths.
I know I could use pen & paper to solve the puzzle, but I think it'd be nice if there was a way to do that in-game in some capacity. It would then start as an exploration game, and then become a "calculate the path" puzzle style game. Maybe after getting the 5 gems, the tower would start to collapse and you'd have to get out of it quick. At that point, knowing where to go could be trivial, and the challenge would be executing the path without getting confused about directions. But I digress.
Unique interpretation of the theme, I like it. Good job!
A cool game, it reminded me of a game on a push-button phone, where you need to pump your brains by completing puzzles, and there one of the tasks was to guess where the spider would crawl with the same movement mechanics.
Cool game, like the game play
once i got the hang of it I had a good time.
It took me a bit to realize one needs more than memory to play this puzzle. Once approached with scientific rigor, ie a pencil and paper, it’s easy to solve. But very satisfying.
Two things I would do, if you’re going to continue polishing this: Animation for the hero, and a longer background song. The song is great, very NES, but one plays for long enough that it feels repetitive.
Overall, this is a real gem!
Great work here! made it extra challenging for myself by not writing down the information but I did have a system that did help me out. The music was really nice, I really enjoyed the song played during the credits. A change I would have done is having the portals be distinguishable, however, I know that was your intent here. It's a personal preference where I would have wanted the player to solve the puzzle rather than guess it. Overall, really enjoyable. Great work everyone!
