Spoilers ahead:
Played this game in a group of three. We enjoyed the modern take on the story and the writing for the troll snatching. We enjoyed replaying the game to see different endings and outcomes for our actions. Quite liked the wishing well.
We noticed that the path catches fire even when Mandy has been snatched and doesn't drop her cigarette butt. A minor thing which confused us on the first playthrough.
Thanks for the feedback! There is a hint as to why the path catches fire even if Mandy doesn't make it, but I maybe need to make it clearer.
A fairly easy game to complete, but it was so well written. Putting the troll in the water was very creative - and disturbing too.
Thanks! I wanted there to be a danger at the lake, and I thought the troll deserved to be in the game somewhere, so it seemed like a good fit :)
It's been incredibly interesting seeing how people have taken the original game framework and adapted it during the jam, especially in this adventure which moves the action to a modern-day setting. Clever! It very much feels like the beginning of a bigger story, so I look forward to see if it eventually develops into a full-sized game.
Thanks for the comments! I do have big plans for the story - excited about developing it further :)
Another great take on the cave story, adding a different slant. As this can be completed, but with less than a full score (69/100), it feels there's another two or three story arcs there to be discovered. The graphic conversions don't work as well as they should, they look a bit too blocky, but it doesn't detract from the game.
Thanks for your feedback!
